I'd say still progress. In the town where I live there's a lot of little signs/flags with things like 'women are the future'. I live in a college town and the ads for it have all women with things like 'your future is here'. So I'd say the fact that it included men at all is a good thing. Even though more and more unbiased studies are showing that domestic abuse is a lot more 1:1 the fact that they have it as close as 1 in 3 compared to 1 in 4 is progress, as I've seen things where when it included men had it at rates like 1/10.

It's good that they include both genders, but I don't see how they can possibly know just how much abuse each gender experiences, given the prevalence of false accusations and undisclosed incidents. I'm not saying the poster's ratio is false--I'm just wondering if the data mentioned has been collected correctly when so many instances of dishonesty and secrecy have occurred.

It was 1 in 4 Women a few months ago. Was 1 in 5 Women about 2 years ago.

Expect 1 in 2 Women this Christmas.

More men actually experience it but it doesn’t actually get made out to be that way
