Texas A&M ends Women’s and Gender Studies program to comply with system policies

This is definitely a Texas thing. Unlikely to spread much further. Maybe Florida or Montana, but still a Vast minority of states.

There was limited student interest in the program as well. Not a lot of lefties going to college in Texas.

I don't understand why they don't just remove the women part, call it gender studies and make it about men's issues 50% of the time this seems very in line with the whole equality and feminism thing. Nah, that would be too logical. It's either got to be all about women or nothing at all. Feminists would rather have it all shut down then be required to talk about men's issues

places like texas is doing this which is great but it's important to understand that they're doing this to get back at left wing groups, not to help men right activists so whilst I'm happy for the action, I think we need more of this but backed by an actual desire to advance men's rights. It's like all those alpha bro podcasters, they hate feminsts but don't care about men's rights

The same policy also caused Plato's "Symposium" to be banned from the philosophy curriculum. So, mixed results, I guess.

I'm with the other poster- just change it to "gender studies" and widen the scope.
