The manosphere tends to be skeptical of attacks on "traditional masculinity", but I personally disagree. Traditional masculinity is a bad deal for men especially in this day and age. "Man up and get married" and "risk your life for women and society" is the essence of traditional masculinity. Getting married and being a father was a huge part of the identity of the "traditional male".

The thing is that this is a bad deal for men, especially in modern society where divorce courts tend to be anti-male as hell, not to mention that most women have 0 respect for men nowadays. If you get married, it's unlikely that your wife will ever respect you. (assuming you don't get divorced in the first place)

Encouraging men to be traditionally masculine is encouraging them to sacrifice themselves for society. Traditional masculinity is rooted in male sacrifice and it's no coincidence that even today people are more willing to sacrifice men than women. (see here: https://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publications/news/2016/june/chivalry-is-not-dead-when-it-comes-to-morality.html ) We shouldn't be encouraging men to risk their lives playing the heroes or to sacrifice their own independence and get married. (especially in an anti-male society)

The only real solution is to reject traditional masculinity and go MGTOW. (but without the tradcon bullshit that I see in some MGTOW)
