We live in a society… where double standards are real.

It's different because I say it's different. And there's always the need to be right. She's for the streets!

It is far more serious than it seems. Feminists and women who believe them fully internalized this "it's different. I am a woman and he is a man so it's different".

This is their standard line and what this expresses is that "I have the female privilege that is denied to men. That's because we women are the ruling class and you men are the underclass. As such we have the privileges of the ruling class, in particular we can do goddamn anything we like to you, while you men in the underclass have no privilege only obligations and obedience which is that you serve us and do as we tell you".

Note that this goes way beyond posting bikini pictures. It extends to women as ruling class having essentially full impunity to commit any crime against boys and men, including the murder, torture, bullying and raping of boys and men. That's why they practically always get away with it with zero or near-zero consequences. In particular not having to go to jail (or just trivial time). Like she gets 60 days (or most typically "probation'" and "community service"), he gets 43 years for the same thing (real numbers from real cases from this subreddit).

That's behind "I am female, he is male, so it is different". Like, I fucked the boy, that's not rape but "had a relationship with", he is lucky and he enjoyed it, can I go home now??? What's so hard about "I am the ruling class"???

BTW that boyfriend next to her deserves WAY better than that tattooed "shrimp woman" (as described in the comments). I can only hope he broke up with her right away, before going home. If he has brains that match his looks.

I hope that guy breaks up with her. She seems really shallow and unintelligent.

We need more women as scientists, engineers, doctors, and whatever other comfy, high-paying inside job there is.

We don't need more women working as loggers, welders, or on the backs of garbage trucks.

Please explain how this is hypocritical in any way?

If either partner sets a boundary that they do not want the other partner liking specific pictures, then yes it would be disrespectful to break that boundary. That is not at all the same as either partner posting their own pictures online that they consented to post. Thats a false equivalency.

Its your duty, whether monogamous or not, to respect your partner(s) boundaries. So if for example, the woman in the video has expressed a boundary not to like bikini pictures of other women, then it is only fair for her partner to express a boundary for her not to like underwear pictures of calvin klein models. If she breaks that boundary, she is disrespectful to him.

It is NOT disrespectful however to post an image of your own body online that you consented to post and it's completely irrelevant to setting boundaries about not liking other peoples pictures. That goes for either partner. If you personally do not feel comfortable with a partner who enjoys showing skin online, that is a difference in personal values, not an issue of respect. And, this goes for both partners: if you value one partner not showing skin, the same then applies to you. If you do not want your partner showing skin, then you do not show skin either.

What hypocrite is acting like he would not be burn alive if he told his GF his not okey with her exposing her body..

[+]ImaginaryGlade7400 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Any well adjusted man would in fact have 0 issue with his partner exposing their body if he also exposes his body. Well adjusted men do not attempt to control their partners body or how they choose to display their body- and on the flipside, neither do well adjusted women. Everyone has a body, they aren't special. And if you actually date a woman who shares your own values, you would in fact not be burned alive for expressing a value for modesty if you yourself also practice modesty. Hence as stated- this is not an issue of respect, but an issue of misaligned values.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Ho right, so when a girl tell hubby that he can't like other girl picture, that being "well adjusted".

Sure mate. /s

You seem to overestimate how much men have any right to have boundaries.

[+]ImaginaryGlade7400 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

If that boundary is hypocritical, then no it would not be well adjusted. She cannot tell the man not to like other womens pictures if she herself is liking other mens pictures. That would not be a boundary, but a control tool.

But if she does not actively go online to like the opposite sexes scantily-clad pictures, and has expressed a boundary that she expects the same from her partner, then that is in fact well adjusted and a completely normal boundary to set.

Which is exactly the same for man- if he has set a boundary that he values modesty, thats fine. But if he himself is not practicing modesty, that is hypocritical and is no longer a boundary but a control tool.

Men in fact have the same right as women to set their own boundaries in regard to a relationship, but just like a woman setting boundaries, they need to be cautious that they are not being hypocritical in those boundaries and not practicing what they preach.

This dispute is about "respect" and what is "disrespectful". It revolves around having an act that is disrespectful to her (the boyfriend liking other women's bikini pictures) and another act that is disrespectful to him (she posting bikini pictures of herself while dating him). The question is who can be disrespectful to the other and who cannot be.

And her answer is unequivocal: nobody can be disrespectful to ME while I can do whatever damn thing I want. Because gender.

Whose pictures are posted, when and where, is an internal matter for them. The issue is respect vs. disrespect. The hypocrisy is her "justification" for her disrespect of the boyfriend: "I am female so I have privilege. He is male so he doesn't have privilege. I am the ruling class in this society and enjoy ruling class privileges to which the underclass, like him, are not entitled to. I can be disrespectful to him and he shuts up because he is underclass, but nobody dare to be disrespectful to me, because I am ruling class".

Can you even hear what she is saying?

Obviously not, since you are a woman (of the type that is the problem in this society. Not all women are like you, just too many).

[–]ImaginaryGlade7400 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

(she posting bikini pictures of herself while dating him).

Which, respectfully, I'm disputing. There is nothing disrespectful about posting a bikini picture, the same way its not disrespectful for a male to post pictures in his swim trunks at the beach. Can you explain what is disrespectful about that?

And her answer is unequivocal: nobody can be disrespectful to ME while I can do whatever damn thing I want. Because gender.

Again, respectfully, that seems like a stretch. Where does she state or even imply that "she can do whatever she wants"? Her statement was solely that posting her own bikini pictures online is not disrespectful to her partner. Going back to my first statement, can you explain why it is disrespectful?

Whose pictures are posted, when and where, is an internal matter for them.

If there's kids involved sure. But they are grown adults. They both can post whatever pictures they want to. If either partner feels disrespected, they can absolutely bring it up and explain why they feel disrespected, but they cannot control their partners actions. Either their partner agrees it is disrespectful, or they don't and they realize they have a difference in values and end the relationship.

"I am female so I have privilege. He is male so he doesn't have privilege. I am the ruling class in this society and enjoy ruling class privileges to which the underclass, like him, are not entitled to. I can be disrespectful to him and he shuts up because he is underclass, but nobody dare to be disrespectful to me, because I am ruling class

Again, that seems like a stretch. You gleaned all that from a 10 second video with no background on either partner, and a woman you don't personally know? Respectfully, that sounds like projection. A 10 second video doesn't require "reading between the lines" to that degree.

Can you even hear what she is saying?

Yes- none of which has anything to do with your claims so far, but I'm willing to listen to what your explanation or perception of it is.

Obviously not, since you are a woman (of the type that is the problem in this society. Not all women are like you, just too many).

Thats quite the assumption based on a single comment. Are you sure you're okay? You seem extremely upset over a simple question.
