The overlap between MRAs and MGTOW; Your thoughts?

Well until the imbalances that are powering gynocentrism in the legal system and society, not to mention male disposability are addressed, I think MGTOW seems like the only rational option for many men. I dont support some of the misogyny that emanates from that community but I can understand their frustration.

They don't really overlap at all.

MGTOW's simply focus within and refuse to be a part of the very system that seeks to oppress them. Typically, they are very extreme in their views with incredibly black and white thinking that is simply problem focused. By associating themselves or being associated with MRA's, they have effectively held back any real change taking effect. Depending on how extreme one goes into it, one who identifies as MGTOW could be seen as completely paranoid, whiny, and simply self-centered person.

MRA's seek to change the system in which we live for the betterment of all. It is a solution focused, out of the box type of thinking. They aren't worried about fairness in the world. They typically have already achieved a level of self-awareness that MGTOW's seek.

tl;dr: One seeks change, the other does not. They could not be anymore different. However, to each their own.

Both are not exclusive. I'd fight for Men's rights wherever I can in small possible ways that I can. Occasionally, I donate on a case to case basis to my local chapter for Men's Rights.

But if you are talking about sub /r/MGTOW, it's become really sick. I don't visit the sub any more though in past I've gotten the male support and encouragement that I needed from that sub. Today it's become, I don't know what , some kind of a caricature.

I don't agree there is an overlap. I accept your path in life has been different from mine, but I can't accept that ALL women are feminist idiots and segregation is the answer. Most women regect feminist propoganda.
This sub is about the issues men face, only some of which are caused by feminist lies.

The basic idea of finding Your Own Way™, being unapologetic about going it, and not letting yourself be distracted/manipulated/exploited by whoever/whatever wishes to join their path in life with yours sounds like a pretty good one in theory.

In practice, the type of people who want to talk about MGTOW, TRP/Satirical-Feminist-PUA, and Incel/Non-Satirical-PUA and thus inhabit the associated online discussion spaces for such things all seem to share a similar pile of complaints about women's sexual behaviour that they've cooperatively wrought into an ornate shared cultural theory... And I just could not care less about it.

Philosophically the two have similar goals, reclaiming public space for single men. There’s a commonality between wanting to be independent and challenging misandry.

On Reddit, mgtow is 24/7 complaining about women, agree that it’s a parody of itself. Boys bragging about their toys, the searing loneliness of a clean motorcycle in a dreary garage.

Realistically, if you genuinely avoid women and keep to yourself, you’re not going to encounter many rights violations. In that sense, mgtow is actually the vanguard for MRA, because these are the guys encountering misandry and matriarchal oppression for trying to live outside the supplied system of matrimony and supporting dependents.

Personally I’m more interested in incels because they actually live in the disconnect between society’s claims and it’s current prejudice against men.

Men going their own way and mens rights are the same thing. Turning our backs on gynocentry and pulling back on female privelidge.

Misogony is a subjective opinion. Mgtow doesn't advicate for the oppression of women or for them to be discriminated against. They just say women are money grubbers looking for the next best meal ticket on offer.

Misogony is the pathological hated of women, not finding women annoying. That's chavanist, which is fine.
