There is no baby, you're being played and she's trying to bait the hook. Don't answer, don't reply, she simply doesn't exist. Every time you feel a knee jerk twinge about what you should be doing, you need to realize quick she's plucking your strings. Don't let her. She's persona non grata.

I'd contact a lawyer in advance though, just to be on the safe side. Say you might be needing his/her services in the future, and they are likely to give you some free advice. And if it does ever come to that, you've already found someone. Probably won't cost you anything either at that point.

Better safe than sorry, mate. It would suck to be told afterward that there were steps you could have taken to improve your position in a case, but you didn't consult the right people.

Lawyers who specialise in international law are few and expensive.

Staying non-committal but sympathetic is a good way to go.

You do not want someone with a vendetta against you.
