Here's what I've learned in 35 years living in the US as a man. Firstly, no one cares. If you're having a bad day, suck it up buttercup. Bad mood? You're a dick. Hurt yourself? Walk it off. Don't know how to do something? You're useless go away we'll find someone who does. Can't provide for your partner? You're useless go away we'll find someone who can. Not passionate about your job? You're useless go away we'll find someone better. Society depends on you. The business depends on you. Your needs are not important. Your mental health is not important. Your side of the story is not important. Your dreams, your ambitions, your hopes for the future are not important. Don't speak up, don't think of yourself, don't ask for help. Your problems don't matter. Your fears don't matter. You don't matter. You're a man you need to do more than the woman but don't you dare think you're more capable than a woman because the sexes are equal and that means you're inferior.

TL;DR: Men don't get to complain. Men don't get to be weak. Men don't get to be human. Provide support or you're worthless.

Edit: Thanks for the support, all. I was worried I'd just come off as whiny, and while unfortunate, it's nice to know I'm not the only one that feels this way.
