Unpaid interns may be mostly female, but they aren't chosen or forced to be unpaid interns because they're female.

The difference between your examples is that of the 75% males and 25% females 100% are being banned from playing poker. This means it affects all the poker players equally. Of the 75% females and 25% males in unpaid internships 50% more of the unpaid internships are held by females. It is possible this is a gender issue but further study is necessary to look at the factors to see if females are being treated unfairly or if other factors are landing more females into the unpaid internships. I suppose a gender issue is when a person is treated unfairly solely based on their gender.

The goal of a fucking internship is to get experience so you can get a job. The reason why most of those interns are women is because men are being discriminated against in school and are dropping out of college. Men are also discriminated against in fucking interships! This is a classic case of feminists complaining about having a benefit.

Not to mention that they are biting the hand that feeds them. My company used to do unpaid internships to give students experience. They complained that they weren't being paid and we stopped giving internships. No more experience. Go fuck yourself.

I don't think dividing issues into gender issues or not gender issues is really helpful. Usually it is a justification for ignoring some of the people effected by something, or for spreading myths about which gender is privileged.

However it can be useful to look at why certain genders are more effected by certain things and if anything can be done to help one gender more than the other.
