Keeping working class / 99% of men down is considered necessary by the elites to maintain power. That's because almost all the people in any revolution are young men. This tendency to control or kick out young men so that the elites can dominate the resources of society can even be seen in social mammals. For example young male lions are kicked out of the pride while young female lions can stay. This is because the alpha male lion doesn't want sexual competition.

Humans are a little more sophisticated than lions but it comes down to the same thing. The ruling class needs to control young men or they will revolt. This is why historically prisons were only for men for example. Practically speaking they still are. Young women don't generally revolt in part because of the sexual reproductive strategy tends to make women conservative whereas men are high risk / high reward types, and in part because women are treated better by the status quo.

Short answer: best as I can tell, millions of years of evolution take longer than the few decades we've had where we've bent the world sufficiently to our will to negate them to undo. This is not just true of male disposablity but things like the urge to over indulge in fatty, sugary foods, or the urge to frequent copulation (most of us now live in abundance and with low childhood mortality).

The nature vs nurture argument misses the reality nurture is run on nature, gender expression has elements that are reinforced or nudged by social expectations but society its self is a construct of (among other things) sex and its expectations are based upon the agrigation of the expectations of billions of individuals back through the entirety of history. To take a less controversial analogy, that I speak is because it is in the genetics of humans to speak, that I speak English is because I was raised in England among English speakers.

I agree with you it is unfair and unfortunate that they are seen that way and i believe it is because of the traditional views that many people still have unfortunately and we need to continue to push for equality and away from these traditional roles and views.

speaking To anyone in the comment section now:Slightly off topic but to anyone reading this i have a petition to call on congress to either abolish the selective service system or to expand it to everyone by requiring everyone to register since the current system is unconstitutional since it applies to one gender violates the 14th amendment of the constitution and the equal protections clause and i would appreciate anyone reading this to look into and sign my petition to have equality in the law.

Because from a biological standpoint, males ARE disposable.

Kill 99% of a tribe's female population, it's dead in the water. Kill 99% of the male population it's a speedbump at best.

Nature often reproduces patterns: men ejaculate millions of sperm whilst women have a limited number of eggs and nature has arranged for all but a few of those sperm to be disposable by making the course to the egg so difficult and dangerous. I think that indicates what nature thinks of the disposability of men, combined with the reality that one man can create children with many women, but one woman can only create one child with any man at one time.

However, I believe it is possible that Testosterone guides males to protect mates against predation to the point of giving their own lives: that could also be viewed as a kind of disposability with males effectively protecting females (although not for the females sake).

In the Antechinus species, the males basically rape the females and then all the males die from exhaustion: how's that for disposability.

That's biology, but it pervades society too because society is based on biology. It's only with intelligence that a species starts to consider higher order ethics than the designs of biology and starts to influence the basic biological pattern.

Women have started asserting what they want for themselves, over what biology provides as standard, so I don't see why men would not start to act similarly, except for individuals in society taking advantage of that "protective" urge and leveraging it for their own interests. Until human males start to evoke their own interests as part of ethics development, to exceed biological imprinting, then I think they are at a disadvantage in opposing disposability.

It's interesting to consider that in the past, many young men could not wait to go to war or join the military machine, because of the adventure, and the positive aspects that were often hyped by society. There is also the youthful perspective of indestructibility that also works against particularly young men, combined with the drive of Testosterone to take risks, etc. Even today it is often the young that can be convinced they are protecting their country and should sacrifice themselves, which just adds to their own youthful enthusiasm and the shaming of "cowardice" by vested interests.

It's interesting that the OP is starting to ethically oppose the drives of biology and the vested interests in society, so something must have changed relatively recently. Maybe women asserting what they want, as part of equality, will trigger more men to assert what they want as part of equality: feminism may end up achieving what it says it wanted in propaganda after all, despite their best efforts at achieving entitlement and advantage. Perhaps men are realising that sex with women isn't the be-all end-all its cracked up to be considering the big picture.

If all military age men are killed, then its likely the invading force has won and still has a sizeable military left. Traditionally, invading forces have raped the invaded women, so it's not necessarily only old men that are left to impregnate the remaining women. Even if that is the case, even old men have traditionally been able to Father children: I believe that was intended by nature to ensure continuation of the species in the case where all the younger men were disposed of and is why men don't go through menopause in the same way women do, but retain a reducing but still viable potency into older age. Admittedly older age in the past was much younger than it is today, because people didn't survive as long.
