Misandry or misogyny? Misandrists often like to claim that misandry is either not real or lacks systemic power like misogyny supposedly has even though there's very little to no evidence to suggest misogyny is systemic, at least in the West. I don't think misogyny is systemic at least in Western nations, where women are very revered and protected class and often get lots of special protections provided to them.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to claim misandry is systemic, but there's certainly a much stronger case for it to be as such. Between the draft still being legal, how badly boys fare in the education system, the lack of abuse shelters for male victims and the very little amount of attention given to violence against men (especially by women) and how there's almost no campaigns to end violence against men. More qualified and reliable men getting turned down jobs they're a better fit for just so employers can fill quotas by hiring less qualified women. Also how divorce courts are infamously biased against men, and how nobody bothers to put out ad campaigns calling out women's bad behavior unlikes what Gillette did with their infamous ad. "Believe women" and how men being accused are denied due process and the woman is automatically assumed to be truthful is another example, and it a clear violation of a man's right to be granted due process to get evidence of an actual wrongdoing having been committed. Also how women and girls can get away with physical violence against men and boys in public and if the man or boy strikes back, he'll still be punished even if he was acting in self-defense and the woman/girl initiated it in the first place.

If not systemic, at the very least, misandry is widely acceptable and often upheld and enforced in Western civilization. The same can't truly be said of misogyny. I've said before but claims of "systemic" misogyny come off more as misandrists wanting to take away from the real and often ignored issue of misandry and wanting to enforce their "women most affected" narrative. Which does nothing but divide both genders.
