Thoughts:

I don't necessarily agree that these laws should be made in the first place but if they really must, then why not in the case of California "that publicly traded firms in the state to place at least one of each gender on their board of directors by the end of 2019." I get this will likely create a new discussion around how many genders there are (equally ridiculous in my humble opinion), but the state of the current law doesn't address the possibility of a man just identifying as a woman in order to fill the quota anyway.

And in the case of Nottingham, remove Transgender & Misogyny and replace with Gender as a category in it's own right. In my opinion, using such gender neutral language will garner much less resistance to the laws they're trying to implement and if anything, would be supported by lots of MRAs as a means to combat the rampant misandry we see daily. You can add in racism too in the case of white men. (Key note: I get it would require equal enforcement too but that's another debate).

So it seems to me there are select possible causalities:

a) The progressive left are too dim to realise they are creating their own enemies.

b) They have so little faith in the ability of MRAs to do anything, they just don't care.

c) A combination of the above
