if people posted more about men's rights being enforced in the court of law and/or media

articles and anecdotes about men's rights being considered instead of being infringed upon.

If you can find those, by all means, post them here. Everyone here celebrated when Brian Banks was released, when he swore to go on with his life not looking back, when he was considered for the Falcons. It was a series of small bright spots for us.

It's not that we don't post the good with the bad.

It's that there's so very, very, very little good to post with the bad.

I think a lot of the content posted here is with a view to it being used to persuade others to care about MR in a context other that "lol patriarchy backfiring". So I guess that's why. But I know what you mean, and I spend a hell of a lot less time here than I used to as a result.

To add on to what I say here:

Over at AVFM, they have a policy that I'll pseudo-quote here: "When somebody says that we need to start doing something, we say 'Thank you for volunteering!' "

If you want positive stories to flood MensRights, then here are your options:

Step 1: Stay up to date on every ripple in the gender politics lake. Constantly scout for good examples of MR being upheld, honored, or even mentioned.

Step 2a: If you can't find any no matter how hard you look, well, now you understand. Go back to step 1.

Step 2b: If you find some examples through your diligent efforts, attempt to post them here.

Step 3a: If they've already been posted here before, consider that the few examples you found were examples we've also found, which indicates that the reason why /MR is more bad than good is because more bad exists than good. If you're feeling frisky, go back to step 1 and keep looking.

Step 3b: If you find something good that hasn't been posted here before, congratulations! You're being the change you want to see. Go back to step 1 and keep looking.

OP, you may have to consider that this group actually isnt really at the forefront of mens rights. Rather they are a collective circle jerk who is more interested in reiterating the same points instead of actually helping men.

Take this sub with several grains of salt. I understand there is a million ways for this sub to be better. The mods here arent interested in that. They are interested in parroting a narrative.... I havnt figured out what they gain from that narrative, but its clearly there.

Well the point of this sub is to promote change in society, and we won't get anywhere only talking about the change that's already happening instead of what needs to be addressed.

I imagine it's depressing because this movement is relatively unknown and therefore is new, so it's the butt of jokes, and valid rights issues are usually dismissed out of hand.

But if you pay attention, it is changing. Progress takes time.
