It's a catch 22, isn't it.

How can you say with confidence that you are a confident person?

Like applying for a job that requires experience; If i start with no experience in a field in which all job ,if not most, requires experience. how would i go about acquiring the experience needed to apply for the work to begin with?

Obviously, if we are talking about confidence here, the context is the dynamics between men and women.

If you're a men lacking in confidence i'd say you have two, principal, options: You could fake it, adopt the mannerism of someone whom you've observed having success with women, until you you've became (grammar) innately confident. You could down play the importance of interacting(*) successfully with women, artificially improving your perceived confidence.

Now, -success with women- needs to be defined. I would argue that sexual intercourses is the primary unite of measure to determine the success had with a woman.

Why is that? Well, courtship is a thin veil used to disguise (If at all) sexual advances. Sex is established , from the get-go, as the goal/end-game. As oppose to any other interaction with women ,deprived of sexual advances , that may be considered successful : Asking a girl for a phone number is by no mean proof that you could sleep with her.

My view is that TRP serves to sure up the spirits of young men lacking in confidence.

  • So, what is confidence to you and how do you define it? How does fit in your leanings Red/Blue/Purple?

  • Where does confidence ends and douche-bagery begins?

  • Over what time scale can confidence be established? Can it be redeemed subsequently?

  • Does a man's confidence play out differently than a woman's?
