I went out last night with a few friends and I actually didn't tune the crowd out for once. 4 above average height dudes, in shape and running a pool table in a not so busy bar that we frequent about twice a month. No big deal.

On my way to get a pitcher and a couple of drinks this is what I overheard from the mid 20s to late 30s crowd.

“Their parent's must be so proud.” /s Older woman in a large 1:1 male / female group close to us. She was probably referring to our conversations about girls and weed.

“They think they're soooo hot.” Younger girl on the arm of an average skinny dude said this. Their group of six started at the pool tables with us and then they left. Said loudly as I passed their group to take drinks back to my friends.

“He's probably gay.” A girl I made direct eye contact with, looked up and down and then walked by.

That was just on the way to the bar and back. None of my friends were overly drunk, two of them had to work the next day and we all just went out to get a bit buzzed and bullshit. We never hit on anyone, interacted with any other group except polite “Excuse me”s at a bottle neck to the patio. I'm always friendly with bartenders and wasn't flirty with the server so none of my behavior other than walking and body language were really on display. So why all the shaming and hate while not even engaging in TRP antics?

So here's my question for TRP and TBP users. I'm curious why a community like TBP exists as a counter to TRP. Why do we mock one another?

Mocking and shaming are generally an in group behavior exercised on interlopers or to reinforce an established hierarchy.

We use shaming in TRP quite a bit, and without apology. We shame and mock fat people, poor people, stupid people, smart people, women, men, liberals, republicans, libertarians, socialists, and foreigners. TRP has an out group mentality which is why red pillers probably get labeled as a cultish. It's also probably why we mock very large and contradictory swaths of humanity. We don't have a truly unified view and we reside in different countries and have different mating goals (marriage / ltr, polyamory, harems / plates, MGTOW) and different opinions on social matters.

So in divided groups antagonism, shaming, and mocking is expected at the very least. TRP does it, TBP does it, new media certainly does it. What's the point?

If TRP loses a subscriber and a practitioner in RP theory that is just a boon to remaining communities sexual access. If every red piller but two unsubscribed from the sub today and vowed to never again use the RP behavior they'd learned, the last two would probably high five and continue on their way. In their minds they'd be the only sane ones left.

Why does TBP mock an outside group? Raising awareness and community protection? Supposedly TRP is not just ineffective it's potentially harmful to the person and those they meet. So maybe it's for red pillers own good? Shame and guilt as a vessel for change isn't healthy in my opinion. Plus TBP is opposed to instilling dread, gas lightning and other forms of emotional manipulation, so why use shame as your tool of choice?

I get why TRP exists... to share information. I get why I make fun of fat apologists and pro obesity social justice warriors. It's an unhealthy life style and it shortens their potential lifespan and decreases their physical attractiveness to everyone except fetishists. Is that how TBP views TRP? A group of female virgin fetishists that spread a toxic and dysfunctional world view that makes them less attractive to everyone they meet. I wouldn't even bother debating with a fat apologist about portion sizes and exercise. So why do blue pillers engage us?

Way TLDR: Why try to mock / shame TRP? Why debate or engage us?
