lol... what? Using the term virgin to shame men is still an insult regardless of how he feels about his virginity or how he values himself(kind of like calling a guy an asshole is still considered an insult regardless of how he feels about asses or altruism). The term is intended to be a derogatory term, and used as such due to the negative stigma and implications that comes with the word in our current culture. Not only that but, really, the term goes a lot further than just sex. The term is often used as an insult because it presents this idea that the man in question is unworthy of love, affection, respect and desire from women, or that his experiences don't matter or have no value. Even if a guy didn't really care about any of that, it's still an attack and the term itself, as well as the attitude that comes with it, can still end up costing him a lot.

Actually, I'm allergic to cats. I wish I wasn't.

I did have a beta fish for 3 years. It survived forgotten feedings, filthy water and a move.

Just died a month ago.

I have some frog eggs due to arrive any day now.

People call you what they think you'll be hurt by. RPs philosophy is devoted to getting laid. Manhood in our society is in part defined by the ability to get laid. So calling you a virgin is supposedly insulting your manhood. Which they think you put great value on.

You give zero fucks. Good for you.

But really, it shows that you buy into stereotypes that feminists are lesbians and alone, with cats. Because feminists don't like men? Don't want to marry? Can't get married? Live alone?

Am also inclined to assume that picking up a hobby that is beneficial to you in some way is pathetic, be it a martial art, a language, computer programming, application design. That sort of thing is also, pathetic.

Also, learning how to properly engage people be them male or female, with learning how to talk and how to handle/deal with people is also pathetic.

As I said before - none of these have anything to do with RP. No one cares. It's generic advice, can be found elsewhere. Certainly does not take up the bulk of TRP discussions. And no one here on PPD has any issue with it. So I don't know why you're even bringing it up when its obvious that no one cares if you benched 100 lbs last year and 200 lbs this year.

TRP considers women inferior. Advocates treating them like trash. Disdains women. And yet, the whole purpose is to sleep with them. An entire sub devoted to sleeping with people you disdain and have no respect for? That's self-improvement?

TRP attracts guys who are vulnerable and gives them an out. It's not your fault. It's the fault of women. Society. Anybody but you. There's your self-esteem. Dependent on denigrating others. That's self-improvement?

TRP is a bunch of misinformation. The guys there know little outside of the incestual copy/pastes being spread around the manosphere. They get stupider the longer they stay there. Some of the things I've seen posted here on PPD... really. I'm starting to be an advocate for the common core curriculum because I see how ignorant these kids are. You'd think that an obsession with feminism would mean that they actually know what it is. It's just staggering how much they don't know. That's self-improvement?

And the sexism and bigotry which pervades the thread. And the outright misogyny which often accompanies it. That's self-improvement?

And so I say, the so-called self-improvement is pathetic.

Apparently I have been spelling it wrong this entire time.

That word does not apply to women only, but it is used to accurately describe behavior. Labeling it simply because you do not like it won't make it go away.

Let's take a second to think about the topic of that sub. And yes, it's mostly in regard to women and the social dynamics between them and men. Being "shocked" to find that the majority of posts related to women (be it in a manner you like/dislike will be proportionately skewed) is very silly.

To further add to that, I can't recall a time I have personally said men hamster, I don't much use the word because I find it silly. But yes, as I had said, it can be and has been used for both sides and applies to anyone who tries to rationalize something in a light they want to see it in simply because they don't want to face the truth (or whatever other thing they wish to rationalize).

That's truth.

You misunderstand.

Every once in a while, but rarely, RPs post a thread about how they are. "Shocked" to realize that men hamster too. But it matters little when the word is used. 99% of the time in regards to women.

But they call women hamsters. And talk about women hamstering all the time. It's a word they associate with women, not people.

The correct word is "rationalize" and it's something that everyone does. It's a human quality. What RP has done is make up a word with a very derogatory meaning and applied it primarily to women. Even calling women "hamsters", as if they are not humans capable of reason.

That's disgusting. And sexist. And bigoted, since the word "hamster" is used to describe women with opinions which run contrary to RP pseudoscience and bunk.

Saying you don't personally use it has no bearing on what RP actually is. The mods, ECs, participating members set the tone. And that tone is a disgusting display of how humans rationalize sexism/racism/homophobia.

And you're avoiding solipsism, which I've only mentioned 3 times, which is only applied to women. And is part of the core RP ideology. Right there in the sidebar. There's a whole bunch of sexism and misogyny right there in the sidebar.

It's a disgusting group of people there.

Again, I say the sub in regard to "hamster" is geared towards women, so of course the majority will be about them. And I thought I said so, but it's more often in the comments, telling the guys who are rationalizing away what they don't like that they are in fact hamstering. It's called out every single time it is done. And you know what, it's a good thing to point out.

"rationalize" and it's something that everyone does. Yes, yes it is. Hamster refers to rationalizing away things into a way that puts the person/ thing they want it a better light than it should be / ignoring any faults or bad things. And you're avoiding solipsism, Yes, it does seem so doesn't it. It's a disgusting group of people there. That is entirely your opinion. And mostly one that seems to have been formed because you only take the abrasive things and paste them onto the entirety of the sub.
