There seems to be a misconception with some of the guys here that social proof means the gals friends want to have sex with him.

While that could happen ( if it's a celebrity for example) that is not what social proof is.

Social proof is going out with a group of your friends to your suburban bar/restaurant and you spend the evening talking to a group of female friends out for the night. You are not a lone guy cruising to pick up women, you are a guy with a life who is well liked by his friends, some of which are not single.

Social proof is knowing someone they know, and they like you.

Social proof is meeting his friends before sex, if you are dating online.

Again, the meaning of social proof, which is needed to date healthy women that care if your a married man is not other women lust after you, it's you are a known factor.
