Stubbs (cat):

Stubbs (born April 12, 1997) is a cat who has been the honorary mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, since July 1997.

As of 2014, Stubbs is still mayor, and has been described as a tourist attraction, having been flooded with cards and letters, and drawing 30 to 40 tourists each day (most of whom are en route to other Alaska destinations, such as Mount McKinley) who hope to meet "the mayor". Stubbs's position is honorary, as the town is only a "historical district".

Every afternoon, Stubbs goes to a nearby restaurant and drinks water out of a wineglass laden with catnip.

but I think 'slut shaming' is real, harmful, and perpetuated by TRP.

It's "real" in the sense that women who act a certain way in terms of sloppy slutty behaviour or otherwise making dumb choices sexually are criticized for it, and especially if they start whining or complaining.

I think that what's been called "slut shaming"-- an exceedingly stupid term-- is a must if you want to speak of sexual equality in the truest sense of the word, which of course is something that the "slut walkers" and others of that ilk don't want because they're not about equality as it is.

But "slut shaming" in the way that the "slut walkers" and third wavers allege exists in the negative sense really doesn't.

I am curious what you mean about having a say in women's choices.

I was talking about the people who say that "commenting on any choices a woman makes is sexism unless you're lauding those choices".

Frankly it comes down to women being shamed for behaviors men get off scot-free from.

Not at all, really. Guys who end up acting like idiots sexually are probably lucky if they only get criticized for it and nothing else.

"Shaming" is just a way to try and say that "oh you're being sexist and unfair if you're talking about a woman".

Look at the girl who killed herself because someone found her BCC video and mocked her mercilessly for it.

She made a pretty stupid decision and got insulted for it?

Tough, that's probably what's going to happen. If you can't deal with it then you shouldn't be going something like that in the first place.

Her suicide is entirely her own responsibility and it's sad that she killed herself, but no one else is to blame for that.

Do you really think a guy would've gotten the tweets she got?

I've no doubt in my mind that there would be all kinds of tweets that weren't gushing with support and positivity for a move like that.
