I remember seeing this vid on reddit a few days back
Anyone got a link?
[–]tomburguesa_mang 93 points94 points95 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
He absolutely confronted the guy as well. She was not the only one to be confrontational.
[–][deleted] 370 points371 points372 points 6 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link
What a crock, this guy loses his job because his wife is a nosy cunt. Since when is being married to a twat a crime?
[–]repsol93 133 points134 points135 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah that's some kind of bullshit
[–]BreastfedAmerican 100 points101 points102 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Almost any company can do this because you've brought bad press to their door. Even though you didn't do it, you are associated with it and therefore guilty in the public perception's eye.
[–]Plebius-Maximus 44 points45 points46 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This. People don't seem to understand that any company can and will drop you like a sack of shit if you drag their name through the mud, even by association.
But apparently he was being a twat too in the vid so he is guilty himself
[–]Bigdaddy_J 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Closer and closer to communist China's social credit system.
But maybe he did deserve it since he was being a twat as well. So it is not like just got by association.
[–]Mochi_Beans 54 points55 points56 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
He was there, and I’m pretty sure also video taping the whole thing. I think that’s enough to deem him guilty too
[–]H3racIes 31 points32 points33 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. I hate the people commenting in this post who read a headline and just take it for its word without looking it up themselves. The husband was makin the same racist remarks
[–]suburban_hillbilly 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
He was fired for being the smug asshole recording the video. She's the CEO of her company. Not defending anything here but context is important.

What's her company?
[–]urg2splurg6957 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]gas-station-sushi 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
idk dude, based on the video, he was recording and participating as well. I would say that yeah, she instigated it all, but he was definitely her hype man lol

The article said that he was filmed saying stuff too
[–]Narwalacorn 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah that was some bullshit. She posted in Serbian too.
[–]GMoI 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Since forever, the husband has always been culpable for the wife and well being of the family. There's a reason why a military spouses actions impact on the person in the military, because at one point that was common practise. If the wife committed a crime the husband was punished since his lack of productivity would punish her by proxy. We still have part of this mentality in the 'You can't hit a girl' statement rather than you shouldn't hit anyone. Heck women punished their husbands in the early 20th century by not declaring their income to their husbands since at the time what was the husband's was the wife's and what was the wife's was the wife's alone but the husband was responsible for the households tax. They would get imprisoned for tax evasion for not paying tax on an income they did not have any control over nor did they have access to that money so they had to pay tax from their own income. Things have slowly changed over time but this still just proves that we as a society are more inclined to punish a man in place of a women if at all possible.
[–]amazinglyaloneracist 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So if a man is married to an enlisted woman and the man commits a crime is the woman held responsible too. I'd hope so. But somehow I doubt it.
[–]GMoI 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I believe so there have been posts in some subs about the entitled behaviour of husband's blowing back on their military wives. If anything the highly regimented nature of most military means that they generally don't care what's good for the gander is good for the goose. Whether it happens as often as it does the other way round I don't know.

If you saw the video, he stood a few feet behind her like a little bitch and was questioning the dude too. She didn’t seem smart enough to have a job, and he willingly participated.

Ok, to be fair, the woman owns her own business, so she cant really get fired, and the husband was IN THE VIDEO EGGING HER ON
I'd say this makes sense to be, honestly
[–]Daddywitchking 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I fail to see how this is a pussypass considering the husband also confronted the victim. Kinda just seems like an opportunity to woman hate.
[–]LlyodBraun 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I’m fine with this. If you saw the original video, he was being as much of an asshole as she was.
[–]a-hippobear 9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, if anything, it seemed like it was his idea but he was too much of a sniveling little rat to do anything. He participated, but stood back so his wife could do most of the talking.

[–]emodersam 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The woman is the CEO of a cosmetic brand or something like that. She lost a lot of deals, a website that sold her products also is not working with them, so she has lost a great deal as well.
[–][deleted] 19 points20 points21 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
He was probably fired because he refused to give a grovelling public apology "on behalf" of his wife, which is totally wrong as he didn't personally do anything wrong. Now that he's lost his job and ability to provide, she'll probably divorce him and strip what money and assets he has left, because you know....Karen can't possibly be wrong or accept responsibility for her own actions. Sounds to me like he's got a good lawsuit against his firm on the face of it.

[–]test_tickles 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Guy was stenciling BLM on his retaining wall, which is his right to do. She approached him and "called him out". He didn't back down so she bluffed "I know who lives here." When the bluff didn't work, they called the cops. Confidently incorrect.

[–]wwwhistleri only look like i'm in charge 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
if it is placed by the owner of the property...it is NOT graffiti. it is art. the ordinance you referenced is for vandalism and requires the owner to fix the Vandalism that was committed. the state can not determine what is and what is not OK for YOU to display (other than obscenity and decency laws), it would be a violation of the 1st amendment.

None of this has anything to do with racism at all. It just shows that trying to help a neighbor is worthless.
Call the police anonymously and move on with your day.
Why do you think they want to "defund the police?"
Because when the police show up and say "is this your fuckin house?"
They either answer, get arrested, or chimp out and end up on a YouTube police shooting video.
The mistake these people made was involving themselves instead of just calling the police.

How about y'all look it up before just reading a title and basing an assumption on that. The husband was also in the video making the same racist accusation the wife was. And she's also being reprimanded for THEIR actions
[–]tom9152 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
How is it racist to dislike graffiti?
[–]H3racIes -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
It was chalk on his own property, not graffiti. Their accusations that he didn't live in that property and comments toward him were the racist part of the video. You dumb?
[–]Barth22 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Did he ever say it was his property?
[–]H3racIes -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
He didn't need to, it's his property and doesn't need to answer that question. She said she knew who lived there when she obviously didn't. When I'm mowing my lawn or painting my house or even drawing a statement in chalk on my property I'm not going to answer someone who randomly walks up to me and asks if it's my property. Call the cops on me if you want, I don't have to answer. And that's what he told them to do which they did and the cop left as he saw nothing was happening.
[–]Barth22 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think it’s silly for her to go up to him but not necessarily racist. If I was mowing my lawn or painting my house and someone came up and said that it was private property I’d tell them “yeah, my private property” simple as that. What they did was nosy but he was looking for a fight.
[–]H3racIes 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
How was he looking for a fight? He didn't respond, that's passive not aggressive. They're in a predominantly white, high end neighborhood, the accusation was that he wouldn't be able to afford to live there as a minority. She even responded to the situation claiming she was being racist
[–]Barth22 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He was looking for a fight IMO by not trying to deescalate. He was telling them to call the cops which is an escalation. If they would have stayed after he said it was his property then IMO they would have been racist. I’ve not seen her apology video only the original so I can’t comment fully on it, but I assume she only made it because the mob has made her life hell after the video went viral. Was she a nosy neighbor in this video, yeah definitely. Was she a racist asshole who deserves to have her life ruined? I don’t think so.
[–]Captain-Tripps -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Did this couple, who got up all in his business, have a position of authority that entitled them to an answer from him?

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, And the two shall become one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh." ~ Mark 10:6-8
It's a biblical phrase you mouth-breathing fucking retard. And as marriage is a religious construct FIRST, thats the context within which it should be viewed, therefore writings from religious texts like the Bible are pertinent.
Maybe do a little research before you run your mouth off idiot.
