Am I just getting old? I truly don't understand when or how hitting women back became a trendy thing to talk about on the internet.

We did not get to where we are as a species by pretending that men and women are totally equal in every way. While I agree there are exceptions in which it's okay for a man to hit a woman (actual life or death situation, for example), it generally sucks ass to live anywhere where society looks the other way on men hitting women. I don't think this is a road we want to go down.
