I hate to pile on an opposing view in this subreddit for fear of appearing biased, but for every Ada Lovelace there were a hundred renowned male computer scientists. For every building created by women there were a hundred buildings created by men. It is not hyperbolic to claim that most of the things mentioned in the tweet were indeed created by men. I've done everything from back breaking manual labor to stay at home mom to now working 60+ hours a week while raising my 2 kids. I'm not just talking out of my ass. What qualifies you to speak about how hard being a stay at home mom is?
Also, women attempt suicide more than men (2-4x as often). Men are just successful more. Post partum depression is a bitch. 1 in 7 women experience it in the first year after birth. Suicide accounts for 20% of post partum deaths.
The financial value mothers provide is huge. Childcare is expensive AF. And what kind of "lifestyle" do you think a family with a single income is living? Most stay at home moms do so because their previous jobs didn't pay much more than childcare would cost. It's a financial decision more often than not.
