I am listening to the Theology of the Body in Simple Language and it's rapidly transforming my perspective on marriage and sex. But I am still trying to figure out if dating and physical contact is allowed with non-Christians and if so, what is wise. I apologize if this post is too outside of the rules of this sub, but I'll share what I'm going through.

My ex set me up with her roommate last weekend. The girl I was set up with is not a Christian, but she knew (via my ex) that I had a clear commitment to God in abiding by God's mandate for no sex outside of marriage.

We ended up having some sunggle time while watching a movie. We engaged in some passionate kissing towards the end of the movie, but nothing beyond that.

There is some atttaction between us, but I won't be pursuing a LTR because she isn't a committed Christian and there isn't a strong intuitive attraction on my end. I told her I would like to see her again but I don't see this progressing to a LTR. She says she is not looking for anything serious at the moment.

I am fighting (by God's grace) to make him the number one relationship in my life. I feel like towed the line with making out. Now I made things messy if I tell this girl we can't do that anymore. I also feel guilty that I am treating her as a emotional pawn to get over my ex, but I'm not sure if that is true.

Any advice on how to approach this from a Christ-like frame and postion of godly humility and repentace?
