I wrote more about plate theory here, so feel free to reference that.

The general concept is that plate theory exists almost exclusively to foster an abundance mentality. Once you have the abundance mentality, as /u/chinchilla_the_Hun says, "you won't have to" spin plates anymore - or never will have to at all, even in the first place. This is the exact reason why I wrote the 204 post on abundance - to give an alternate route to developing an abundance mentality that doesn't require spinning plates.

That said, I have come to accept that "plate-spinning" in its pure form is not actually problematic. Spinning a plate doesn't mean you're having sex with someone. It merely means you're fostering interest. The key is in how much interest you're generating. Never "awaken love before it so desires" (per Song of Solomon). If she's merely giving IOIs, that's fine. You can get that even without trying. But if you're leading her on to a point where she's become emotionally invested in her relationship with you, you've gone too far.

alternatives (in RPC) to spinning plates?

In my 12 stages of Dread post and book I provide ample alternatives to plate spinning.

However, building Dread depends on the credible threat that she must behave like a wife or she could lose your commitment. If you don't have a credible threat then you lose. She will call it and subjugate you completely.

So the alternative to spinning plates?

A Credible threat that you COULD spin plates.

Much like Morpheus's line to Neo about dodging bullets ("when the time comes, you won't have to..."), after properly digesting the red pill long enough, you'll realize the triviality of plates or sex in general.

Self improvement via RP will bring you to a place of abundance where "release" will be possible in many other forms and outlets.

You've been without sex (I'm guessing) for most of your almost 40 years. So what's another year or two to get yourself where you need to be? Some say we need to wait on God, but I think many times God waits on US to do the things we need to do, to bring about the right conditions to receive His blessings.

Translation: Fix your financial situation, lose the weight, lift weights and put on some muscle, and develop your style and look so that when you get there, God has something to work with. God can do anything, but that doesn't mean He will do everything. You have to do your part as well.

In the meantime, avoid rubbing one out as much as possible - only use that as a "pressure release valve", when you can't take the pressure anymore. Use that energy in the gym and in life instead. And pray for God to bring the RIGHT woman at the right time. He will.
