Its an odd request. I also am confused about how he is going to go about it. I would probably cancel the appointment because its going to be embarrassing for you and the masseuse if he tells her she is too ugly to touch him.

Let me play devils advocate here.

First lets take the options a guy giving you a massage, a hot girl, or a ugly one. Out of those three guess which one every straight guy chooses?

I dunno about declaring "only hot women can massage me" and how far would you follow through that. You going to go to the parlor and be like "nah you are too ugly". My only request really would be no guy massages I don't want another dude groping me.

I can see if he is repulsed by the woman it wont be a relaxing experience so the point of the massage wouldnt be there. Is he being demanding yea but its not like I wouldn't be choosey with the people I let lay hands on me.

I'd say it's some sort of shit test. no idea how to really respond to it from a woman's perspective but I think thats mainly due to not knowing what your relationship is like.

I'm assuming hes doing it half-jokingly like you mentioned. either way you could reply with something like

"Well I will when you get home, but for now you're going to have to put up with the ladies at the parlour"

pass it off as a joke. If he pushes it further and it bothers you, talk to him about it.

I think his "requirement" is retarded, but it's not my relationship, so my opinion's pretty irrelevant. I also doubt it's "normal for a guy", but again, irrelevant because this is how YOUR guy is choosing to play out the situation.

In your shoes, I'd offer to go in his place if he's that worried about it, and get my relaxation on with the ugly masseuse. Hellz yes.

I don't really see the issue with this. Men often don't want to be massaged by men either. It's too uncomfortable for them, and they can't enjoy it. I don't see a problem with upping the attractiveness of the masseuse to increase his enjoyment. After all the whole thing for his enjoyment, so why not consider something to make him enjoy it more?

As for how to do it, it'll be easy enough to specifically request a masseuse when you make the appointment. You don't have to tell them why your picking that masseuse. It's no different then requesting a specific hair stylist, they'll assume you have had her before, a had a recommendation for her, and would prefer her work.
