Hi Ladies. I just graduated school in December, and was just offered a job on Tuesday making well over six figures. My boyfriend is so wonderful and supportive, but I can tell that this has been a blow to his self-worth. In the past while I was in school, I would always praise him because he was the only reason that we could ever do anything fun because I was always so broke. He has taken me along to do so many incredible things and I have had so many experiences because of him that I never could have provided for myself. With this job, I can tell that he is feeling a little lost in terms of what he has to offer. I know he wants to be a provider. I want that for him too. I just don't want him to feel emasculated when I am now making nearly twice what he makes. We both knew this was going to happen but I didn't know it would feel like this. How can I make him feel comfortable with this new dynamic, while maintaining the feel of our old one?
