Hello all! This is my first post after months of reading on the sidelines.
I think the biggest factor in my inabiility to attract masculine men is my unwillingness to be vulnerable. I'm very emotional on the inside but since I don't have a moderate way of demonstrating it, I appear to be pretty unemotional. A man even called more stoic once.
One time, a guy stood me up for a date, and when I saw him the next day, I didn't bring it up. He gave me some mealy-mouthed explaination and I just shrugged and said "okay." Later, he said it bothered him that I didn't respond emotionally to his disrespect.
Even books like "Why Men Love Bitches" say that an emotional response lets men know that they can make you a lower priority (a plate, I guess). However, I also read in other books and blogs that a masculine man wants a woman to be vulnerable, because it's a sign of femininity.
So, how do I show vulnerability without appearing emotional unstable?
