Totally agree. Someone who cheats (male or female) is a weak willed person. I see people constantly trying to blame the cheated on spouse, but nope. No way.

I think that cheaters have some innate character flaw- you never meet someone who has only cheated once.

Edit: I agree that we have certain biological urges (men want more, women want better). But we are more than the sum of our instincts. You will be happiest when you understand your natural instinct, not necessarily when you act upon it.

Most men don't cheat. The VAST majority simply don't have the option(s). Besides, it's WAY too much work to maintain a principal relationship and get side sex/romance/wine and dine other women.

A smart man will terminate the current relationship BEFORE trying to manage multiple women. It's just too much no matter HOW MUCH you "cover your tracks."

Notably, women have MANY MORE options for infidelity versus men. Guys chase other men's wives and girlfriends MUCH more than women who, by the way, can get sex virtually ANYTIME they wish.

Another tactic is to "test" the other relationship and maintain the principal relationship...just in case the side-piece/new interest doesn't work out as planned. You know...eerily similar to how women behave.

A more appropriate title is Cheaters are weak. Let's keep it gender-neutral...kind of how we are trying to do EVERYTHING else these days. Being politically correct and all...

strong men crave variety.

Easy way to tell them apart? See which ones wives make excuses and stick around, and which take them to the cleaners.

It's a fundamental difference, women want better, men want more.

So on the one hand this looks like something that can be agreed with, but on the other you've got to understand cheating is much more complex than the individual just having a wandering eye. There are so many underlying reasons for why cheaters cheat and a lot of reasons why someone would maintain their relationship and try to seek comfort outside of one. Essentially your post is saying that anyone in a bad relationship should either end it(which means knowing how and being able to move on) or should be not weak and sit there and suffer.

There's example after example of long term couples where one of the pair is at their wits end and has been faithful to a person that doesn't deserve it and ends up cheating because they just want to feel wanted. It's really not so black and white as cheaters are bad. Their spouses can be just as bad if not knowingly neglectful.
