I've been a "lurker" on RPW for a few months now, so I'm still a bit new to this!
I've had a history of very bad relationships. After my last relationship ended, I realized that the problem is me. I nag, argue, emasculate, withhold sex, let the man do all the chores, etc.
I've always been "one of the guys". I like to drink beer with my guy friends, I listen to heavy metal music, laugh at their crude humour. That's who I am. I like typical "guy" things.
This is where I get conflicted. I want to change my role in relationships to a more traditional female role. I want to take care of a man and have him cherish me in return. I want a good male/female dynamic. Does this mean I have to give up my masculine interests? Do I have to stop going to the bar with my guy friends and listening to metal music? Are men turned off by these kinds of things? Is treating my man with respect and love enough, or do I really have to change myself?
I guess I just wanted to know if anyone else has faced this issue. Any "guys girls" out there? How did you handle it?
