We bought a new house about 4 months ago and I think a lot of my husband's depression/anxiety is stemming from that. It is all consuming- the house is pretty much what he thinks & talks about 24/7. There is a lot of work to be done and it is drowning him.
He's lost interest in pretty much everything else (including sex).

I was doing a lot of the principles in The Empowered Wife, but I lost a grip on self-care while my sister was visiting then my husband's anxiety went into crisis mode. I've been so insecure and lost feeling. I hate that I feel this way, but everytime I try to shift out of it I feel resentful. He refuses help. I did finally convince him to at least see a doctor because he wasn't eating at all (he refuses to take any of the stomach meds or anxiety meds they gave him). He seems too see it as a failure that he may need help getting through this? Or he says he doesn't deserve help (like he made a mistake buying a house with so many problems so he doesn't deserve sex or anything else that brings enjoyment).

I suppose my questions are... How do I show him respect while he is so down? How do I stop being resentful? How do I support him while he's depressed?
