Welp, that marathon runner proves that the "free period" movement isn't 100% a 4chan prank. Ugh!

That said, THIS IS A CLICKBAIT ARTICLE that showcases a few very extreme, far-outlier individuals. It gets people talking, and increasing pageviews, but it's really nothing but a showcase of some of the strangest people out there right now.

These are obvious narcissists and self-proclaimed radicals; their actions are DESIGNED to capture attention and provoke strong reactions. Don't let yourself get caught up in the various propaganda campaigns that set up shop around extremists like this, as if they're poised to take over our very own living rooms if we don't something something.

Like all attention whores, reacting to them as if they are significant encourages them and makes them go viral like the Streisand Effect. Ignoring them is the appropriate reaction, and has the side effect of being the ONE reaction you can offer that will REALLY make them unhappy.

Some thoughts:

I can't speak for every radical feminist who made this list because I don't know enough about them nor am I one. But I think they are trying to do something more important than just making a spectacle of themselves. I don't think this is the way to do it but women are consistently self-shamed, shamed by other women, and society for their periods. Sometimes for good reasons. Others for bad. If I smelled bad, I'd rather my friends tell me then ignore it. If I bled through my pants, I'd rather have the ability to ask for help from the women in my life instead of what other women in other countries go through.

People truly treat periods like disgusting afflictions women have and I disapprove of that. When I told my mother I had mine, we talked about femininity and masculinity and the differences between men and women and the role my period was going to have in my life. She was incredibly helpful and mindful of the differences between men and women. She didn't treat my period like a problem I have to get rid of in order to succeed in life. It makes me sad when I realize that my peers didn't have that experience.

Blaming the patriarchy is stupid but I think it's fair to say that there is some problem concerning the attitude our society towards periods.

Lots of men do go around the world with their ejaculate soaked sweat pants. It's gross. Especially on college campuses. It's important that our traditional values are lived and talked about clearly within the family.

Also, I guess that marathon runner's alternative was not to run because of her period. I think she's making more of a statement about the role of periods in her own cultural community instead of the western mainstream. We are treated like people when we get our periods. Women in other cultures are not.

The Spanish and Vatican, and Brazilian peeing movement seem pretty stupid and gross. It is so important to lead by example, publicly ignore this behavior and talk to our families about why we uphold our ideals and the happiness this brings us in life.

The girl who fertilized her salad with her period seems like a huge gimmick but is interesting. I don't see why its disgusting. We fertilize with horse and cow manure. The list doesn't give a reason behind the feminist ideals behind it but I think it's nice to associate femininity with life-giving potential.

Modern art gives a lot of space to shock or subvert audiences. It only gains traction by the attention you give it. Unless it is truly a technical masterpiece, it won't gain much steam outside the artistic community. I don't see it gaining steam inside the community either.

I wonder what opinion altredpill has toward that last claim.

Thanks for sharing this really got me thinking I'm grateful the community of like-minded female friends I have in my life. I'm glad that anger and extremism will have no place when I talk about men and women in my life.

Women who've been taught lies for decades that they could be men are desperate for purpose and go mentally ill on their journey to obtain it. Disgusting and sad.

Women cant get what they want because theymve chased a dream designed to be impossible to reach, so they settle for attention-whoring and are addicted to the dopamine spikes they get from it. The internet gives them a huge audience they dont deserve where they can connect with other mentally ill individuals and form brigades. It's ideological disease that the government and elite encourages. Brodin, save us all.
