It depends on the woman.

Personally, I learned that I can't do FWB. I can't sleep with someone I don't like, and if I like someone enough to have sex with them more than once or twice, I'll develop feelings. But I'm sure that other women will have different experiences.

No self respecting woman would degrade herself and allow herself to be called a “fwb” or a “plate” or be treated like one in a relationship. There would be no investment to lose as she would of known going into it what the guy wanted her to be so that’s on her for accepting that treatment and being a voluntary midnight booty call for a dude who treats you like he’s calling for a pizza and only a woman with low self esteem would ever settle for a guy who calls her just his “fwb” “fuck buddy” “plate” “wifey” or whatever. Ridiculous. Unfortunately lots of low self esteem and insecure women allow mistreatment and men will try and push to see how far they can go with you and if you allow it you will be a doormat. If you want an actual relationship you need to shut down any foolishness real quick and make sure he knows if he wants an intelligent, faithful redpilled woman who wants to be a dedicated wife and mother he better show that respect or see himself out.

personally, im chill with being fwbs. i mean, i got a bf rn but prior to dating him i was cool with casual sex. i understand that i would not be winning these men over by sleeping with them, and i was totally fine with that.

Some are and some aren't.

Some just really enjoy sex and riding the 'cock carousel' and all power to them...

Some are professional escorts...

Some are part of the BDSM scene and like that aspect of the lifestyle...

Some have a strong connection with a guy (or girl), and it certainly has potential for a relationship, but it's the girl who doesn't feel in a position to go exclusive rather than the guy.

Some are in open relationships and are allowed fwb on top of their regular relationships, and their main guy has fwb also...

Some are afraid that they won't seem cool enough or they'll lose the guy if they don't put out...

Some are hoping for a future relationship...

Some like the guy and he may or may not like them back... but generally, he'd ask you for a relationship if it got to that point... at least, if he was that afraid of losing you...

And some women just have very little self esteem or very poor boundaries and allow guys of little value to talk them into situations like this.

Personally, I think hookup culture is encouraged way way too much, but I must say, being part of the bdsm world can be very eye opening and fun.

I’ve only met one woman so far who was able to be detached during sex and maintain fwb situations. And enjoyed it. When I asked about it she said she wasn’t in the right place for a relationship but also really liked sex. She said she did occasionally develop feelings so she’d be more mindful of it and distance herself from the guy if that happened. Otherwise she also made a point to see multiple men at the same time for sex to avoid catching feelings… either way I don’t believe this is healthy behaviour
