I dress to send the message that I am mature, yet fun. This means minimal skin, no legging/jeans, t-shirts, sweaters/sweatshirts, and I don't wear exercise clothing/shoes outside of a gym. I put a lot of time and effort into finding colors, textures, patterns, and item types that suit my skin/hair color and my body type. A game changer for me was learning to sew; either to make my own clothing or to alter store-bought items.

I’ve always loved fashion, but I dressed very artsy when I was in my teen - early 20s years. Lotta bold colors, patterns and textures. Most things on a Miu Miu runway I loved. The creativity aspect was most important to me. But now I’m in my mid 20s, and I’ve toned it down a bit. I’m not a walking art canvas much anymore lol. And now that I’ve been learning a lot about the Red Pill space and femininity as a whole, I’ve been dressing more feminine - mostly dresses, skirts, florals and ruffles. It makes me feel more feminine and joyful, which makes me act more feminine and joyful! I still do add in more “creative” pieces, it’s in my nature, but I get most of my feminine clothing from Francesca’s or Revolve. I find some really good deals on Poshmark on the more expensive pieces. But I agree, I love a good loafer! 😊

My advice to you would be to wear whatever makes you feel like the most “you.” The things that bring you joy. People around you will pick up on the happiness you feel. Clothing is powerful.

I (21F) don’t have a particular aesthetic I’m trying to follow, but I want to fill my closet with simple investment pieces in solid, neutral colors for a sort of understated luxury vibe. Clearly nice but not flashy.

Lately I’ve been living in loafers, turtlenecks, blazers, and straight-leg pants. I’d like to be more discerning about what I buy so I can collect high-quality, classic pieces that go with anything and last a long time. Although sometimes I worry this style ages me or makes me look stuffy compared to most of my female classmates who have a more casual, trendy, Y2K type aesthetic (lots of crop tops, sneakers, and baggy pants).

I wear what I want, whether it's in style or not. I love A-line dresses and flats or Converse. Pair it with a cardigan and my bangs and I look like I'm dressing as Jess from The New Girl. It might not be the most current style, but I loathe the frumpy loose styles I see on women today. I have lengthened the dresses as I've gotten older and occasionally replace the flats with cowboy boots out of necessity for my husband's heritage and family business, but they're still my favorite. I would suggest finding a style that feels good and looks good, regardless of trends.

Try looking into capsule wardrobes. If you're looking to change your style, it's a great way to get a lot of mileage out of a few pieces.

Personally, I dress to compliment my skin tone. (You can find more on this if you Google it.) I like pieces that feel comfortable and don't get in my way, while still looking reasonably classy.
