Personally I like blunt, honest, and to the point rejections. As it lets me know exactly why things didnt work out and I dont have to deal with any wishy washy ambiguity like "the sparks werent sparking". I like them so much I will actually thank them for being direct and then leave.

Ex:

"Hey, I dont find you attractive"

"Hey, this convo was boring"

"You said/did x that irked/gave me the ick"

That being said, I know women would never adopt such an approach for a multitude of reasons as not every guy can handle that.

Prefer? Rejection should happen gradually so that it is not too much of a shock.

First there should be passionate sex so I don't feel unattractive or discriminated against hotter men and then she should brag about my body and sexual skills to her female friends so much that they decide to seduce me. And then she should come up with with the confession, that she knows she's not good enough for me, but if I wanted to, I can sometimes invite her to a threesome so we would maintain friendly relations.

Just basic consideration for men's feelings.

I’m good with direct or ghosting.

I’ve had women be direct, I responded “Best of luck”, and they hung around.

I also don’t text a ton as I’m pretty busy, so if they fell off they fell off.

I'd say after she's sure he wants to ask her out and doesn't for example need help with something. It is not polite to shut him down right after his greeting.

"Thanks, that's nice, but I'm not interested," is sufficient.

If it is because she is in relationship (and would otherwise be interested), it is possible to state this. The man will know that if her relationship ends, he can possibly try to ask her out again.

Most of the other reasons "why not" are better to avoid, because it can make seem that there is only an obstacle that the man has to solve.

It does vary. I prefer to be rejected by people who i just met or are not very familiar with in a non-awkward, indirect way. I also normally am similarly indirect.

For people im better acquainted with i prefer a simple straight rejection.

"I have a boyfriend," "I only like you as a friend" and some other generic rejections because for the most part I think that they're trying to be amicable / diplomatic, and some girls in my experience were really nice about it at that. Though I would prefer if I did hear some honesty, maybe some of the reasons they said no to me might be something I can improve on in general, constructive criticism imo is way kinder.

I think that women should make it clear when they are initially interested in a man and subsequently lost interest exactly why they lost interest.

But if she never showed any interest, then women should just be polite unless the man is overly persistent. Then she is welcome to ghost him or tell him off or insult him or whatever she wants to do.

I think just saying you have a BF or your not interested is sufficient I'd he can't handle that it's a red flag anyway.

If she’s not interested, is it best if she completely shuts you down from the moment you speak to her so you know right away? Or do you want her to let you down gently, converse with you a little, and perhaps thank you for the compliments/invitations?

I am all for not wasting each other's time, while not being an unecessary asshole about not being interested.
