I loved the perspective John Gray offered. Men and women really do think and express themselves differently. However, most of us were never raised to understand, accept, or appreciate these differences. I think many communication issues heterosexual couples face often comes down to this.

John Gray has been so helpful to me in understanding my own needs and the huge differences between men and women. Hugely enlightening! I mostly consumed info from him via YouTube videos, though I did read some of his books.

I wouldn't recommend it in favor of starting from the RPW wiki guide resources or even For Women Only which is one of the two currently recommended books in the wiki.

I've read the book when I was younger before I came into contact with rp / manosphere content and found the book to be too emasculating to be of any use for a guy (if the principles only work half way (for women only) and does not provide an encompassing praxeology for both genders, the advice and frameworks might prove questionable).

There's a passage from 'Practical Female Psychology for the Practical Man' which is a recommended TRP sidebar book and has a foundation in biological and evolutionary principles that explains the problem with the book:

The big problem with books such as John Gray's "Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus" [6] is that while they can help men to understand female logic to a certain degree, in the process they emasculate the man, stripping him of his masculine core. In order to maintain sexual attraction from a female, we need to understand female logic but at the same time remain as real, masculine men. We do not effectively resolve the differences between male logic and female logic by becoming females!

My conclusion:

It doesn't provide the proper dynamics of masculine and feminine polarity that's necessary between men and women.
It doesn't appear to align with much of the RPW forum's perspective on traditional, evolutionary, or anti-feminist perspective.
There's about 8+ years of content on /r/RedPillWomen in addition to /r/RedPillWives with their own wiki if you want to read content that comes from RP foundation.
