Miss Congeniality is a great one. I related to it a lot because I was a tom-boyish, gruff sort of girl, and I had to put in a lot of work to become something in the middle: polished, but not naïve. I think this film is incredible at highlighting the reasons it's important to embrace ourselves as women instead of trying to be men, even in a male-dominated space.

I'll also add some that are good examples of what not to emulate: the rom-com girl in general. The witty, sarcastic woman with a drinking problem that somehow seems to always find a great guy and live happily ever after... The movie Trainwreck is the ultimate example of this dynamic. Bridesmaids was another good example of this. These movies are designed to make the average modern woman feel like she has a shot at being with someone who will tolerate her crap.

The movie ‘Beautiful’. It’s about a girl who grows up poor with awful parents who does whatever it takes to get out of that situation by becoming a pageant queen. By the end of the movie she is completely transformed. It’s quite a funny movie too!
