The best way to avoid SJWs at university is to think.

You're going to encounter a lot of people - whether they're SJWs or not - who are happy to get spoon-fed information and regurgitate whatever the professor says for an A.

Keep an open mind and be critical of the information you read. SJWs love to weaponize science, but they cherry-pick facts to push an agenda.

Take a research methods course especially if you don't have a strong background in science and read everything you get your hands on whether you agree with the author or not.

Seek out diverse groups of students, because when the experiences and opinions of the group are diverse it's harder for them to think homogeneously.

Get involved in academic, not social, student organizations. Cultivate your social networks carefully. Reach out to your professors. Set aside study time so you're not distracted. There's actually a neat community on Tumblr for students to share pictures of their notes and stationery ("studyblr") that shares a lot of study tips and helps me get excited about my work.

Learn why it's wrong. Imagine explaining it to a precious, younger sister. Imagine her asking you if you'd recommend it. Imagine her asking you why. Imagine you explaining it to her.

Imagine mocking it to your hot boyfriend, when you show off that you do not believe the bullshit. Imagine the relief on his face, when he notices that you're not like every other girl.

You don't have to agree or disagree with everything, and you don't have to share your opinions with anyone. People can be really great friends, even if you're on opposite ends of the spectrum, as long as you both respect each other's autonomy.

Most colleges tend to lean on the liberal side. I have seen a few articles, and even watched a documentary highlighting the extreme bias. Feminism has not just been creeping into the educational system, it's been pouring in.

Many teachers that may have different perspectives are discouraged from sharing and even trying to expose students to those ideas. Some schools require teachers to incorporate feminist and empowering content for women, even if the course has nothing to do with feminism in any way. So math teachers and others may have to figure out how to address those things.

If you don't already have blogs, youtube channels or boards where you can talk about the other side of things, make a list. There are some really great podcasts available too, it just depends on your taste.

Other than that, this next part will depend on the kind of student you are. Another user noted that many students will regurgitate whatever the teacher talks about in order to get an 'A'. It's true, many students just want a good grade. I disagree that it's simply something the mindless do however, and I disagree that following that route makes you a sucker.

Like it or not, the overwhelming view is feminism and being liberal. There may be a few exceptions of course. I am not liberal, yet I work in a very liberal environment, with very liberal clients. I can't waste energy creating friction with the people around me, because that affects everything from my paycheck to my reputation.

College will be a great introduction for you. How to float and blend, without caving and having your entire outlook warped. Always be criticial, and always be open to learning. All my professors liked me because I did my work, contributed in helpful ways, and always did the extra credit offered.

It's a bit like acting, you have to play the part while always remembering you aren't actually the character. You will likely find some women that are skeptical or flat-out against feminism, but that doesn't mean you'll get along with them as friends. A woman isn't a horrible friend because she has feminist leanings. It's all a matter of how outspoken she is and how she behaves.

You're going to college to learn, create new connections you'll be able to use later on, and get a great job in your desired field. Never underestimate the value of having an expansive network!

Takes notes as you normally would, skipping a page each time. You can go back through later with a different color pen and write counter-arguments for the information given. When I had to write a paper for a feminist class, I always did my research, and you can find out a lot more than what they tell you in class.

You can keep an open mind without losing sight of what you think, and you may be surprised by what you learn. :)

Just study. No, honest, if you are serious about your subject you will have less and less time for crazy social circles.

Focus on your studies and seek out opportunities to socialize with like-minded people. Also, your college might still have a small libertarian or conservative group that you might be able to meet people through (if you lean that way). If not, then perhaps try seek people outside of campus that you can be friends with.

Overall, just pretend that you're a tourist in North Korea... a fascinating experience, even if it's hostile.
