Does anyone else take life in a relaxed manner?

I don't actively practice any religion, but I was raised religious, and I still retain a lot of religious values that I think are sensible, such as "have faith" (believe in yourself, try your best, and accept that it's beyond your control after that, and there's no point stressing about it). I plan for all likely outcomes, and prepare to adapt to unexpected outcomes. Also, I never view self-improvement as a "little goal" -- it's more of a permanent and important life-long goal.

Question everything, challenge your beliefs, challenge your honesty with yourself, consider different perspectives.

You can't be receptive to things (nor grow as a person), if you passively stay in your comfort zone.

I used to be one of those people who would plan every detail. One day, everything changed (most significant change: dumping my ex after being together for almost a decade).

I didn't know how to cope with the new changes because all of my plans had to be scrapped. At the time, I was conducting a research on Tinder. I decided to take it to the next step by not only 'studying' it but also fully using it.

I literally submitted myself to the app.

met up with people occasionally hooked up Some of the matches were ONS, and some became good friends.

Few months later, because of the people I met on Tinder in Asia who subsequently became friends with after hooking up, I found myself in Europe because that's where some of them were from and a few had invited me to come over to their countries for a visit.

I continued to be guided by the app (met new people, hooked up, made friends, etc.) Almost a year later, I found my 'next step' in life (pursuing masters) ironically in the country where the first guy I hooked up with from Tinder was from. (no I'm not with that guy, we're only friend)

Never would I have thought of myself in the position that I am currently in. Moral of the story: just go with the flow, and don't pressure yourself into thinking about the 'next step'. That shit usually comes naturally, and most of the time unexpectedly.

If you don't know where you're going you can end up places you don't want to be. If your employment, financial and housing situation is solid, then go ahead and give up control and take things day by day.

Sounds like you can stop worrying and go meet new people (men?) who do interesting things and not care about the outcome.

Yup... I am American, but I have long term goals. Right now I'm comfortably treading water. When some things shift, my time will open up and I'll work a lot more.

I find things go better when I'm not forcing them, when I let them happen when they went to. However, you have to be doing the things to get what you want. Ex: I'm working on longterm marketing for my small business, so when I want to kick it into high gear, I can.

I'm American but I was raised outside the US. I try to have a general idea of what I want, but keep an open mind about how it might come to me.
