Ok.... I’ll just get straight to the point
We’re in our 30’s and just becamed engaged and I love him very much.
He wants to own a home. I make double what he makes at his regular job. Being the breadwinner makes me nervous and figuring out how to deal with finances in this state makes me nervous.
I tried talking to him about getting a new job being that he is underpaid, has no benefits, hasn’t had a raise in 5 years. He works on the weekends in the summer to make extra money. THe reason he hasn’t stayed here’s is because he’s waiting for the day the business is successful and he too will move up in position for being a faithful employee.
This makes no sense to me. Just get a better paying job.
He says he’s going to start looking for a new job. I haven’t seen any movement.
He has no retirement savings. He says he has no money.
Does not go to the doctor despite my constant voicing of concerns ( I work in healthcare)for things that he should go to a doctor for.
I’m really considering a pre nup but I don’t know how to bring it up
I feel like I’m nit picking and nagging and Im not getting any response or movement from him. His overly relaxed self Is stressing me out because even though I’ve given him ways to try and better himself, he doesn’t.
The stress is affecting my attraction to him.
