Because men are not women. And women are not men. Gender is mutually exclusive. Men and women are different.

Women control sex. They are devaluing themselves by giving it away too indiscriminately. OTOH sex is a win for men. Man need not be ashamed of getting too much sex.

There is another side to that. Men must make something of themselves or they fail in life miserable. Women can latch themselves onto a beta provider and they do alright. Because vagina. These social and economic (but mainly economic) pressures force men to grow up beyond emotional level and into the intellectual level. Therefore men are better equipped to understand and value things in life, like their SMV or their partner's.

Women, OTOH, are usually stuck in the emotional phase of development. They are not capable of abstract, objective thought as men. As they get more and more partners they start inflating their SMV. When it reaches ridiculous levels they don't get the feelz they think they deserve anymore then this breeds shitty behavior.

In conclusion; stop with the equality nonsense. Equality =/= sameness. This is not the sub for SJWs. Read the sidebar, it's full of logical & practical info. And one last thing; slut is not necessarily a bad thing all the time.

Man the title alone made me cringe. You say your question is "very silly" and "you are sorry to ask".

Do you think this is polite? It's not. It's annoying and submissive. Just ask!

The only thing you should be sorry about is looking for a quick answer instead of reading the sidebar and lurking a bit.

There are multiple problems with former promiscuity. I'll give you one.

Due to her past hookups a slut will think that she is very attractive and confuse her sexual market value with her relationship value. This will lead to a fucked up power dynamic when she decides to "settle". Explanation:

The reality of the sexual marketplace is that it is far easier for women to find a man who is willing to have casual sex than it is for a man to find a woman to have casual sex.

And that means that many men will lower their standards drastically if that means they can have a one night stand.

So if we have a slut who is a 6/10 in the looks departement you can be sure that she had sex with men far above her smv. With 8.5/10 for example.

These men would never have dated her because she is too ugly for a relationship in their eyes. She only was pump and dump material. These guys probably made fun of the fact that they had sex with her. "Haha remember that ugly chick? Man I shouldnt drink so much.Haha. But she blew like a champ!"

Unfortunately the sluts don't recognise this. She actually thinks that she must be hot because after all, a hot guy slept with her.

So now finally she comes together with a guy who is, let's say a 6.5 or 7/10 for a serious relationship.

In reality he is dating down as she is below him looks-wise. But she doesn't see it. She has slept with 8.5/10 guys and only knows that he is less hot than these guys. So she will always have the feeling that "she could do better" and that "she has settled for less".

Can you imagine how these beliefs are not healthy for a romantic relationship?

I have seen this far too often in reallife. A landwhale slut who scored the jackpot with a guy FAR above her level. Her first real relationship at age 24. Countless of ONS and fuckbuddies before that. She thought she could do better and ditched him after a year. She hasn't been able to find a guy who wanted a relationship with her since (about three years). She is finally beginning to understand that she confused her sexual market value with her relationship value. Poor girl...she wants an LTR sooo much.

That means if she finds a lucky guy for a relationship now, she will settle for him, but always think about how much hotter the guys were she hooked up with. Would you want to be that guy?

It's up to women if they don't want to be with a guy who's been with lots of women. The short answer for why we don't call out man-sluts is we don't actually care. Most men here are just doing what works for them to get what they want. We're not enforcing social justice or anything like that.

With women on the other hand, speaking for myself, I tend to go for LTRs, and a high partner count to me shows one of two things (or both): 1. She has little to offer other than sex, so that is all guys use her for and then ditch, 2. She has sex with a new guy whenever she "feels like it" (can rationalize it), most likely a habit by now. Both pose huge risks for a LTR.

Real simple: Boys and girls are different. Yes, it's a double standard. Yes, it's an accurate reflection of how sex functions in our society. Yes, it's sexist. And yes, we're TOTALLY okay with that.

There are studies that support this viewpoint as being the best way to run your family. Anecdotal evidence tends to support the view. Our kung fu works.

A man who commits too soon and provides a woman his emotional support unconditionally is a man-slut. Women crave commitment just the way men crave sex. Hence, the logical difference. And read the side-bar.
