Introduction:
For almost 2 years I've been on the Red Pill reading things, taking notes, printing articles hoping that one day I will become alpha enough to know how to do everything I wanted to do the alpha way. It wasn't until this summer, talking to /u/OmLaLa and /u/GayLubeOil did I learn how wrong I was looking at things. In the future, I'm going to make a post on how having these two as my role models/mentors changed my life for the better, but for now I want to describe specific posts on TRP that have influenced my life the most.
You can read all the theory you want here, but you will not learn anything until you put it into action.
There are a plethora of posts on trp that I learned from and I am grateful to everyone who has ever contributed here, but the ones I'm going to talk about below are the ones that have kicked my ass into action therefore giving me real life experience allowing me to fully comprehend what I read here.

Three Long Overdue Red Pill Reality Checks - /u/CisWhiteMaelstrom
1) Getting laid isn't that hard.
You guys, the rule is 80/20; it's not 99/1. Let's forget being "alpha" for one second (and only one second). Alpha is a life pursuit of excellence and not something that's absolutely required for you to have right now this second in order to be worth something. You know what'll work for right now? The much less prestigious "able to talk to girls." For fuck's sake, you guys know what a shit test is, how to beat it, and you've lifted at least enough to max out your beginner gains. That puts you ahead of a disturbing amount of men. Unplugging might be hard, some of you guys probably need to lose some weight or something, but this is really not that hard. Becoming a fully realized Red Pill Man might be hard as fuck but the getting laid part is not.
If you were to walk up to a chick right now who's just sipping coffee or something unimportant then you'd probably do just fine and could probably get a date out of it. Women are just child-like kittenish things with some psychopathy thrown in – kind of like a real kitten. Have you guys ever played with a kitten? I just roll em around on the floor by their belly and they love that stupid ass game for some reason. Real women are kind of like that. If you really get game, you'll see that it's basically just an analogue of doing that but with real chicks. It doesn't take a God or legendary man to do.
This quote is the main reason I decided to say fuck it and actually start approaching girls right now. "I'm in better shape than I've been all my life, but I don't look like Zyzz so I still had training to do" was the excuse I used to not approach women until I had 10%bf, bulging biceps and the body of a God. This quote reminded me that guys worse looking than me and better looking than me are still getting laid what I was doing was eliminating myself from the dating pool. Monk mode is great, but using it as an excuse to not approach is bullshit (unless you actually need to get your life on track.)
Don't Talk to Me Like a Bitch. - /u/Whisper
The first thing you need to do, is talk like a man. Don't aim for sympathy. Aim for respect. (...) I know you have very little to brag about right now, but if you do not strive for my respect, I will not help you.
Growing up in an environment where being a black male made people look at me hostile (and parents telling me not to act niggerish (sagging, cussing out adults, playing rough/fighting) I grew up very passive like. This was especially true when talking to people especially older males. First time I talked to /u/OmLaLa he told me I sounded very timid and afraid. If a person you talked to online can hear 2 sentences from your voice and describe the type of person you are, they know what they're saying and you really can't disagree with them because they're giving you honesty based on how/what you said (it).
There were other posts on masculinity and being more assertive as well as talking with a deep voice and not that "in your head" bitch sounding voice most people talk with to not sound hostile.
Talk like a man and ask for help like a man, not a little bitch or else you'll be treated as a bitch.
Indecisiveness in Women - /u/legedu
When a woman chooses you--whether it be for the night, for a month, or for life--that's it. She has made her decision, and her biology will tell her to stick to her decision unless you give her reason not to. You are the pack leader and the shot caller unless you give her reason to feel otherwise."
This post influenced me to accept the role of being a man. I'm the type of dude who doesn't care what we're doing as long as I'm enjoying it. Problem is, most girls are like this also, so when I leave them to make decisions they feel uncomfortable and don't want to.
By making decisions in my life whether it be what we're going to do, where we're going to study, when we're going to eat, my girlfriend loves it. It takes one load off her shoulder and lets her be a girl and she also relaxes because if there's an issue that arises with the plans I made, I address them so she has nothing to worry about which keeps her happy.
Don't blame women. Blame yourself. - /u/Archwinger
Women react to their circumstances. You are one of the circumstances in your woman’s life. In fact, you control many of the circumstances in her life. You might say that it’s your job to control those circumstances.
This quote came to life to me looking back on my past relationship and my current one. In the past relationship, I reacted to her. She controlled what we did and I didn't care because I was that type of person. She didn't like that because as I now know, women want to be lead by a strong male. With my current girl, in the mornings when I go to the gym I tell her to come with me. When I go to eat I tell her to come with me. Maybe I don't fully understand this point, but I feel it is heavily tied to the post above it and when I control the circumstances in my life and hers things go smoother because I'm mapping out how the day will and she's just enjoying the ride.
Commitment is Way More Valuable than Sex—Why You Truly Are the Prize - /u/JumpXVI
This post taught me the value of commitment and why walking away is very important. Also, it imprints the "You're the shit" stigma you should always carry around. When I understood how important commitment is from an alpha is to a girl I realized that if I'm going to offer commitment I better be getting every fucking thing I want from the girl since she's getting the better end of the deal because as RP Men we are the real prize.
The source of your power stems from the ability to walk away - /u/Archwinger
Your power in any relationship, even non-romantic ones, comes from two sources:
1- Being worth a shit, or at least looking and acting in a manner that gives the appearance that you’re worth a shit. If you’re not worth a shit, nobody cares if you stay or go or what happens to you. You could be run over by a bus, and nobody would cry. Your girlfriend would post about your death on Facebook to get attention then start fucking her backup boyfriend next week.
How do you become worth a shit? Work out, eat well, dress well, and groom – become good looking. Get a degree and a good job, then excel at it – become professionally successful. Explore the world – take a little time off from the beer, porn, and video games and see what else might interest you, and develop some hobbies and skills that are useful and add value to your life. Talk to people and meet people everywhere you go – you don’t become socially apt and well-connected unless you actually practice and get past the embarrassing socially awkward stage where you suck and people think you’re weird, and you never meet anybody interesting, fun, or valuable if you never make the effort.
2 – Being willing to walk away. Prepare to walk away. Have an exit strategy ready for every relationship in your life. Every single person in your life should be deathly afraid that this time will be the last time they ever see you if they fuck up this encounter with you. When you’ve clearly demonstrated that you don’t give a fuck, you have options in life, and you blow-off and don’t tolerate shit tests and disrespect, people quit dishing out disrespect in your direction and start bending over backward to make sure you’re pleased with them.
Women should be afraid of losing you. If the sex stops, if they bitch at you, if they push for commitment, if they try to manipulate you, you’re gone. This isn’t a manipulation tactic. It’s a fact. You don’t have time for women who make your life harder or less happy. You have options with other women who don’t. Even if you don’t have any other options with any other women, it is much better to have no women at all than a woman who consumes more value from your life than she adds. No woman is worth that.
How do you really add value to someone else’s life? Be valuable. Be worth a shit. People want to hang out with, be seen with, and interact with people that are good-looking, successful, interesting, fun, skilled, and socially apt. The time you provide to those people is valuable. But it comes at a price: People work to keep your time. People add value to your life. Otherwise, you walk.
This post alone explained value to me and the value of walking away better than any other post I read on trp. What made this one more powerful is that I actually had an experience in real life where someone was afraid of me walking away and stepped up their game.
The girl I'm with knows I'm a very social person. She often sees me getting hugs from girls who come up to me and make small talk to me including her friends who I sometimes text. The thing that made her panic was when her lab partner who she introduced me to asked her for my number 2 days ago. She gave her my number and her lab partner has been texing me since then.
Last night while I was sleeping with the girl I'm with, she got pouty and started crying claiming that I'm using her to get closer to her friends and that I'm going to break up with her and go out with her hotter friends. In reality, it's her friends using her to get closer to me, but I just let her say what she wanted to say.
Never try to fix a woman's problems - /u/MorpheusGodOfDreams
Problems arise between the sexes when people seek bonding across the gender divide. When a man asks a woman for advice, she tries to empathize (that sucks...) and begins to see him as weak when he becomes more frustrated (why isn't she helping?). When he tries to challenge her opinions in order to understand her values, she becomes defensive because she considers it an attack, and he considers her too sensitive.
I asked my ex for advice about things going on in my life and she didn't offer anyway to fix it. She just said, "ouch, you'll make it through. I'm here for you" and yeah I got frustrated.
Same way she started telling me her problems and I'm here offering solutions left and right (like I normally do for all my bros who appreciate it) and she always replies with "It's not that easy" or "No, you're not listening" or "I can't do that". I'm sitting there thinking holy shit, you don't want to do anything, when in reality, she doesn't as I've learned recently.
Lack of communication between the sexes (mainly males misunderstanding females) I believe is the reason we see many people turn to here for advice after being burned for so many years in their lives, especially when they're raised to treat girls as equals.
When my mother tells my dad her problems he just agrees, and says things like "Really?!" "Is that so?!" "How could s/he?!" and she feels better after her rant but looking back on things, I've never heard my dad ask my mom for advice about anything unless it's for suggestions of what clothes to get my sisters. He always comes to me and his other bros asking what we think and then makes the final decision himself.
This is a comment I left earlier on a post and reading the post gave me knowledge, but seeing it in real life really embedded it in me subconsciously. Realizing it has been happening all your life and why makes it stick to you life long (living with my parents and understanding why my mom felt better after ranting and why my dad responded the way he did) allowed me to internalize this concept better than reading articles on it would have.
She's not yours to keep; she's only yours to have right now. - /u/chadee
If utilizing this phrase properly, you've already lost her. There's nothing she can take from you. Therefore, you are non-reactive to her general attitude toward you. Hence, your frame, and furthermore, your tranquility, is unharmed by her eventual misgivings.
This was an eye opening reading that took me a while to internalize since I believed if you worked hard for something then lost it, you have a right to be mad. Once I realized she's not mine, but it's my turn I learned how to let go. This picture also explains it.
Your Brand of Alpha - /u/GayLubeOil
There are infinite ways to get laid. I do it by being a Siberian Muscle God. Constantino does it by being an Italian Kitchen Emperor. You have to find what works for you through painful trial and error. No one can give you a vagina formula, because it doesn't exist. Sorry AskTRP. We can only point you in the general direction and tell you to go figure it out, stop being a bitch, and for the love of Siberian Muscle God, go lift.
This whole post is great. This post put together everything I read on trp. I always thought that being alpha was being a man who did man stuff and had man interests. After reading this, being alpha made a lot more sense and made me feel ridiculous because of how wrong I was. After reading this and accepting who I was and my interests (drawing pokemon, lifting weights, reading philosophy and self improvement, playing league of legends and basketball) people who had similar interests tended to gravitate toward me. People who weren't interested in what I was doing still respected me, because I was doing me. I wasn't trying to be someone I wasn't and the things I'm doing are things I'm passionate about. No one has ever made fun of me for drawing pokemon (like I thought they would) but they complement me on the art and the reason my girl's lab partner asked to come over to my place and invited me over to hers today so we could "draw together". When you can relate to people or share similar interests it goes from you trying to game them/make them like you to them liking you for being yourself. This brings me to a quote from the matrix that explains what TRP in a nutshell (IMO) teaches us.
US: What are you trying to tell me? That by reading things here I can game girls I want?
TRP: No. we're trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to.
Conclusion:
TRP offers you the possibility to go from being a victim of life to trying to act alpha to you becoming an alpha person and just being yourself.
You can read all the self-improvement you want, but until you actually do shit nothing will change. Reading self-improvement without acting is the same as masturbating. It feels good and you could hamster that you're improving, but you're only shitting yourself. Once you work to becoming the person you want to be, life gets a hell of a lot easier.
