i think 2 scenarios can be interpreted into what she said:

  1. she is a hard to control person but you manly as you are are capable of doing so. control in a sense of taking charge, getting your will, make her shut up

  2. you wish

Hmmm. Well that's disappointing a bit. However I don't feel like like I "enforce" my will on her. It feels like to me she never listens to me etc, so it was surprising to me that she felt like I put her in her place.

When I asked her what she meant she said that I don't let her get away with being unreasonable or illogical, for whatever that's worth.

this wording fits it better of course. when i wrote "control" i meant on any level(haha bad english). dont undervalue the ability to say no. it is definitively a trait of an alpha and many daddies have a hard time resisting their daughters for example

If that's all it was, I'd agree. I do make her feel safe, but along with that think about a rebellious teenager whose upset with her dad because he won't but her X thing or whatever.
