Because some people have mistaken my title as feminist, or this list as pertaining to only men, I want to re-iterate that I am asking TRP's opinion on the LITERAL question posed in the title

Here's a list of ways, ordered from what I see as most commonly accepted to least commonly acceptable way to get into someone's pants. Where would you draw the line on an acceptable manipulation, or psychological advantage used for sex or other forms of relationships?

  • Having an acceptable hygiene for a person
  • Working out to increase muscle tone
  • Sunbathing for skin tone
  • Dressing a certain way that you know will be attractive to a person
  • Using make-up or spray tan
  • Listening to the same music or purposely sharing similar interests
  • Taking them out to a place that you know they'll like, or that they'll like you for.
  • Using pick-up lines
  • Buying gifts
  • Being intentionally nice/confident/suave to attract a person
  • Acting like someone you're not, or being an entirely different character
  • Using 'negging' lines
  • Blackmail - Threatening to say you had sex anyway
  • Hitting on someone during an emotionally unstable time of their life knowingly
  • Getting drunk with a person to lower their standards or inhibitions with you
  • Blackmail - Threatening to do something like release nude pictures if they don't have sex
  • Blackmail - Threatening to say they raped you if they don't have sex with you

Can you think of any more to add to the list?

At what point does this become rape or 'scumbaggish'? Personally, I see them all as equally manipulative, some just more effective than others. But apparently some would argue that the last two are rape, and some would argue that the last 4-5 are 'scumbag'.
