Just this last weekend an interesting idea formed in my head, regarding how women are attracted to a man who is not dependable and predictable such as a textbook beta male.
I was hanging out with my current FWB, when we arrived at the topic of me being a "shitty" texter. She said this because I took my time in responding and did not generally give lengthy replies or let on very much of how I felt about meeting up with her (such as it will be fun/sexy/awesome/etc.). Then she told me that she was pretty annoyed that I was "hard to read". She was having a hard time figuring out just how much I actually cared, whether I would be with her again, that type of stuff and it was clearly bothering her. She went on to say how she has never had a problem "reading" other people be it men or women, and that I was the first one she really felt this way about. This whole conversation was spurred by the fact that earlier that week I did not text her for about 3 days after a nice evening of drinking and sex the previous weekend. She sent me the first message saying I should come over again. The next time I saw her she spoke about the above subject. I really think it surprised and annoyed her because she has had all beta BFs and many orbiters in the past. for example we lit her room with a fuckton of candles she got from a "nice" male friend while I was having sex with her.
This experience made me realize that being "hard to read" for any woman is something that is quite valuable. They cannot predict what you will actually do next, despite only positive interactions in the past and that really bothers them. It creates a sense of mystery and uncertainty that they are not used to getting from most men. It prevents them from directing the course of the relationship, because the man is doing it.
This is all to say that, a man can never let the woman feel that he will be acting in a predictable manner. That is no fun, and not interesting. It also gives the power in the relationship back to the woman. If she can predict what you will do, its like playing a video game with all the cheat codes. Beta guys are predictable and boring. She WILL lose interest with beta tendencies. I know video games are fun for a while, but ultimately get really boring with all of the cheat codes. It just gets too easy.
TL;DR: Keep the cards close to the chest and surprise her at every opportunity.
