TL;DR

Before internalising what a woman says to you, first consider who she is. A woman does not know and cannot fully understand what it takes to be a successful man.

BACKGROUND

Recently, an old childhood female friend of mine celebrated a milestone birthday. Considering all the many years I've known her, I decided to treat her to (pricey) drinks. Over drinks, we were just catching up and talking about a social gathering she recently went to, and she told me about a (alpha) male friend of a girl friend who was at the party. Said male friend, according to her, was the girl friend's major crush at one time, but he was with someone in the past. Recently single, he was at the party, and he was quite the star of the show. After that party, my friend and her girl friend were gushing in the car about said alpha male, how he was such a good catch, attractive, etc.

So I joked, "Wow, I wonder if anyone's ever gushed about me like that before" to which she sarcastically replied, "Pffft. What do you think?"

Immediately, and for a brief while, I thought to myself, "Bitch, I'm treating you to nice drinks and you savage me like this" and thought about how women are ungrateful, entitled, solipsistic. I indulged in taking offence for a bit, but let it slide after and enjoyed the rest of the evening at the bar with a fantastic live band.

LESSONS

Some weeks later I recalled the incident and began thinking about it. I thought, who is she to talk to me like that? And why should I take it personally?

Mind you, this female friend of mine has no career to speak of, and her parents have paid her way through much of her life. She's easily 20 pounds overweight, doesn't have an original opinion, doesn't know much about current affairs/general knowledge, and typifies a lot of what is mentioned about women in this sub.

Then it dawned on me: For all this talk about equality, most women, if they were suddenly to become men tomorrow, would be the betas they all love to pile shit on.

Think about it. Women don't need to have shit figured out, they don't need to command the attention of the room or be charismatic or lead, they don't need to have a great career and lots of money, they don't need to know many cool and well-connected people, and they don't need to be interesting or skilled to be considered attractive, and that's why so many of them are so mediocre. I'm not saying all women are like that, for there are a few women who can achieve excellence that rivals a man, but that number is so small as to be insignificant.

This is, for the most part, the arrogance of many women: having accomplished little to nothing, they sincerely believe that all they have to do is to show up and that their being a woman entitles them to be wooed. Picture a bar: They show up, sit down, and wait to be impressed. That is why a 5 believes she deserves an 8, and a 9 believes she deserves an army of 10s. That is why a woman with a gender studies degree thinks she deserves a masters of finance investment banker. Unfortunately, the social environment today enables all this, and that is why women today have simply become too comfortable talking smack to and about men.

Previously, I used to think that it would be funny if it weren't depressing, but today I just find it funny.

That is why when a woman rejects or insults you, it doesn't mean anything. This woman hasn't even done half of what you've had to do to achieve your station in life. She hasn't even invested half the time and energy earning what you've earned. Her rejection or affirmation of you means little to nothing. It is fleeting and valueless. It can't even be considered a barometer of your success, because she doesn't know what it takes for you to be successful let alone walk that path. Bitches. Ain't. Shit!
