Kanye has been taking a lot of heat recently for his opinions of slavery, and while his words have caused quite an outrage, very few people have actually listened and understood the message.

These were people that were captured, sold into slavery, and then for generations lived in terrible conditions. Why? Because they made a choice to keep living that way and didn’t internalize how much better they could’ve had it if they had decided to make a change.

Would it have been easy? No. Would it have cost lives? Yes. Would the end result be that their population would live freely, and that the future generations would’ve had freedoms that they couldn’t even imagine at the time? More than likely yes.

This message is quite similar to that of TRP. For generations we as males have allowed our rights and freedoms to be restricted, but why? Because we are comfortable, because we are scared of change, because we are unwilling to sacrifice ourselves for a greater future good. We are slaves. Until you fully swallow and internalize the teachings of TRP and then act and teach others to act, we as a male population are no better than slaves.

Tired of being overweight? Go lift! It won’t be easy, it won’t feel good at first, and he’ll you might make a right fool of yourself at first, but what about the future you that will benefit from it? He’ll be thrilled you sacrificed your time when you were younger for a better future.

Hate your job? Then educate yourself, learn new skills, and go and find a better one! Will it be easy? Not always. Will it happen quickly? Very unlikely. Will you provide yourself a better future? You bet your ass you will.

While Kanye might be ridiculed and judged for his comments, the message behind the words should be voiced loud and clear: fight for your rights, make the choice whether you will make a change that benefits not just your future, but hopefully the future of others too. Or don’t and be a slave that didn’t fight for his freedom, didn’t rise up from oppression, and ultimately will be forgotten along with millions of others.

Edit: this post is not about slavery! It’s about the message. People commenting about facts of slavery and screaming REEEE are losing the meaning behind the words, the only way slavery and Kanye are in any way a part of this post is because it’s relevant to the message. Personally I think Kanye could fuck off and slavery was a terrible practice.
