I was talking to one of my Co-workers the other day and he let slip that he thinks his girl is cheating on him. Problem was that he just signed a lease to move into an apartment together this Friday.

Story was that they'd been together for 7 months, and up until recently things had been normal. He said he was getting suspicious of her because she was leaving her phone in the other room, face down, and what seemed like her trying to hide her phone when shes texting. Well the next day he tells me he checked her phone and that it turns out shes texting other guys. Nothing incriminating, but he didn't like that she had 5 other guys texting her, and thinks shes cheating. He says he didn't know what to do and didn't think he could get out of the lease, so "i guess ill just sleep in the other room and ride the lease out, the apartment is too expensive for me to pay for alone".

Holy shit. Being still pretty new to RP concepts, I was hesitant to give him advice and it be taken the wrong way. Especially in a professional environment, it could bite me in the ass. But I couldn't sit back and watch so i told him what i thought about the situation. Heres what i see from an RP perspective. Typical guy goes from seemingly alpha to beta in relationship. Girl is disgusted with this behavior and gets back in line for another ticket for the carousel ride while she uses this guy for a place to live. Immanent AF/BB situation incoming and the worst part is that he knows and accepts it.

Sounds like he could be reading too far into her phone habits, and it screams insecurity. If he hasn't confronted her about it yet(which he hadn't), dont do it and just keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

If your gut is telling you something isn't right, follow it, but approach the situation calm, collected, and firm. Do not fight or argue, if it turns out she is fucking around, don't be afraid to walk away from the relationship immediately.

Call your landlord or whoever you need to talk to and see if you can get out of the lease before you move in. You don't want or need that shit in your life, and if you don't find a way out of it right now, shes definitely going to, and down the road and you'll be stuck with an apartment you can't afford.

Blah blah something about women come and go, drop the girl and move on, stuff about how this is his life and if shes not going to respect him as a man then she can fuck off. Focus on yourself and pussy will be lining up for a chance yada yada. You know the drill

Well i talked to him again today and he told me that he left her and was able to get out of the lease. Shes already changed her phone number and is apparently staying with some other dude now(imagine that). I was extremely pleased to see that this man had the balls to take care of his business and move on.
