He wanted to reassure himself of his masculinity because he felt like a sheep.

According to Freud's most famous book The Interpretation of Dreams, the purpose of every dream is to keep the sleeper asleep. Sounds simple right? Well in Freud's native German the word dream, can be translated as fantasy desire or wish.
