I'd say I'm a pretty good looking dude, and girls have reaffirmed this lots of times rating me between 7-9.5, but even I can look like a fucking sack of shit. I drop about 3 points when my hair looks like a bird's nest, my face is pale and my outfit is tailored by a blind fingerless man.

Facial aesthetics means fuck all if you're pale as death and bald, unless of course your facial features complement this type of look. As for me, not even Shrek's offspring would approach me in that mode.

Also, never underestimate tanning. I've read studies indicating that tan skin is by far the most attractive "facial feature" a man can have, outshining even eyes, teeth and lips.

Get a nice tan, whiten your teeth, pluck your eyebrows, get a nice do and some well-fitting clothes and you won't be "ugly" unless you look like Gollum.

Also, depending on what kind of girls you want, a well-chosen snapback (size/color) can definitely make you look a lot better if your hair is naturally terrible. Make sure to wear fitting clothes if you're going for the snapback look.
