Hey everyone,

I've been contemplating posting here for a while now about what recently happened to me. I feel like I could use some analysis to better help me figure this stuff out in the future, plus I'd like to see if you all think my analogy is right. I'll try to be concise.

Without giving too many details I met this girl at work and she seemed nice and cute. I may or may not have imagined her to be a unicorn at some point but as it turned out the AWALT principle was true once again. She was into me and I was into her. She'd just come out of a 3 year long relationship a few weeks before meeting me and we hit it off. No problems so far, we do some sneaking around and it's all fun and exciting for a while.

Eventually it becomes clear she wants more out of this than just being a plate, which got me thinking that she might be different than all the others. I'm not sure at this point if I want to commit and she begins to notice. I tell her that I'm not sure and we both agree to not talk for a while. This lasts about a day and when I see her at work again after another couple days we are just like before, sneaking in kisses whenever etc. Important note here: in my eyes it's pretty clear that we are both into each other.

She goes on holiday somewhere with her girl friends and lo and behold one night I talk to her and I notice something is off and drag out of her that she made out with some guy: "But it made me realize that I like you and that I want you. I want to be your girlfriend." She tells me that she was confused about how I felt in regards to me and her and figured "oh well what do I have to lose" as she was in this situation (dancing with some guy somewhere). She told me that prior to this evening her friends had asked if she'd be interested in anyone else but me and she answered no to that. Apparently her friends scolded her for what she did but at the same time understood that I was being 'vague'. In my opinion they're basically saying that it's my fault she is making out with someone because I wasn't clear about my intentions. Even though we were acting like before that entire time.

I realize this is becoming a little incoherent and somewhat of a ramble. I told her that I trust people until I have a reason not to trust them, she damaged that trust by doing something like this and I won't consider being in a LTR with her anymore. She was upset and tried calling me all afternoon and finally admitted that it was her fault and not mine.

I realize that at no point we were in a relationship and technically she never cheated. Am I wrong to feel like she at least did something close to it? I just don't feel the same anymore knowing that she was making out with someone else while sweet talking to me and the only reason she told me is because of my prying and possibly her feeling guilty.

Anyway, thanks for reading if you got this far, got a little longer than I envisioned. Please go easy on me, I've been trying to figure this stuff out for about 2 years and I've been lurking for a while. I'm not hung up on this girl but it was the first time I clearly saw some kind of red pill patterns in someones messages to me.
