Inscribed on the temple of Apollo in ancient Delphi were two simple words, capable of destroying you thousands of years after they were etched in the marble.

"KNOW THYSELF"

You've been lying to yourself for a long time. You think things are fine the way they are, until they're not. You know it could be better, but it takes a lot of work to get better, so you lie and make excuses and procrastinate and do everything but change. You know where you want to be is better than where you are, but you also know that the process to get there feels worse than the emotional mire you wallow in. So you rationalize, you justify, you blame. You refuse to look at yourself.

You came to this place searching for answers. You realized something wasn't right, and forced yourself to see the world for what it is. Though this place is one of sexual strategy, all the knowledge here, without self-knowledge, is as useful as a tits on a crocodile. The Red Pill is about knowing the world for what it is, about knowing who you truly are. You know, by virtue of being in this place, that you have to change your life in order to be successful at your endeavors. "Lift" is preached here, rightfully so, because deep down, you know you aren't perfect and you can improve. The iron teaches that. If you were perfect, you wouldn't need this place. If you have no idea what you look like, how you act, how can you change anything about yourself?

The only way to know yourself is to be surrounded by mirrors. To see your actions, your actual Being reflected.

You can't know what you physically look like until you stand naked in front of the mirror, and actually see yourself, not just justify and rationalize your flaws. Know your flaws, then change what's possible and accept what isn't.

If you can't get laid, or if everyone you do sleep with turns out to be crazy or awful, the only constant in these interactions is you. These women are showing you a piece of yourself. You simply have to look.

You can't know how you act until you see your actions reflected back on you. People cannot judge you by your thoughts, only by your actions. You are the sum total of your actions. If everyone in your life thinks you are a jerk, guess what, that's a mirror they are holding up, take a look and see what you are.

Take an honest look at your friends. You are the company you keep. Are all your friends pathetic losers? Chances are, you are too. Do your friends shy away from telling you the hard truths? Are they more concerned with your well-being or how you think of them? Find friends and mentors that are not afraid to tell you the truth, who will call you on your bullshit, who will stab you in the front. Find friends who hold up mirrors to you.

You are the only thing you can change in the entire damn world. You won't fix hypergamy, you won't reform traditional values, you won't end third wave feminism. The only thing you can change is you. By doing that, you might be able to hold up a mirror to someone else, and let them see themselves for who they are. Then might hate you for showing them  themselves, but they might also decide to change. Find your mirrors. Know thyself. Then become more.
