I don't enjoy lifting to be honest all my fitness came from martial arts. Eh im not really concerned every girl ive been with says they prefer slim fit rather than bulky

My idea of a good time is making video game maps and painting. If I want women im going to have to do so things I dont enjoy

You've got comfortable where you're at and you've gotten soft & lazy. That's just how most people operate. They only take action when there's some kind of pain driving them. The pain of loneliness, the pain of unquenched sexual thirst, the pain of a mediocre life working at a shitty job, etc. These spur people to make change, so they make the change until they get comfortable and start slacking off again.

The reason why these results are transient is because they are goal-oriented and not process oriented. You need to get it in your head that the process IS the goal. Going to the gym regularly is the fucking goal. Getting an attractive physique is a side effect of that.

And that is the only way you're going to have lasting results. Your GF is gonna cheat on you with someone that is more Alpha status/hotter bod if she hasn't already since she sees you getting soft. As she sees you soften, her desire for you will soften as well. This is why you have to keep your razor sharp. You need your blade to be sharp before you enter the battlefield, and you never know when your next battle will be.

Jack Lalanne was the fittest man in the world. He didn't do what he did to maintain that status his entire life because he wanted to do it for the sake of doing it - he did it because he knows that structuring his life in a strict routine leads to the best life possible. He hated exercise, but he knew that the results were worth it. That's why he was in better shape in his 90s than most people are in their 20s. The life you get from living a disciplined existence is much more rewarding and longer lasting than what you get from being a slacking piece of shit.

I know this because I'm a fucking slacker myself and if I don't develop routines and focus on the process then it's going to fall apart over time and gravity will pull me right back where I started. It's hard and I'm still fighting myself to get out there and get the shit done. Gravity is constantly trying to drag you down into soft, lazy complacency and ultimately the grave. Your whole life is a battle against this, and the moment you stop fighting is the day you die. Most people die well before they ever make it to their actual grave. Don't be one of those guys. Don't get comfortable. Don't let gravity win. Fight that shit.

I completely agree with you and yes I am complacent, and yes the pain of loneliness / failure drives (drove) me.

I know where you're coming from with the fact the proccess "is the goal" I only know two people in my life that stick to a strong proccess and both are deeply religious and believe they're doing it as a way to thank god (it's a small eastern religion).

For me I'm basically thinking "I already have what I want.."

Right. You already have what you want, but don't forget what got you what you wanted. If you stop delivering it, then you're reneging on the basis of the attraction and she's justified in looking for it elsewhere if you're not trying to supply it anymore.

You're not going to stay young & be able to readily get in good shape your whole life. Things decline with age. You need to appreciate what you have. These things require maintenance. If you don't keep up on the maintenance, then things fall apart. Your body turns to dough, the passion in your relationships die out, and you end up right back where you started, minus the amount of youth you spent in the process.

Sooner or later, most guys get tired of playing the game even if they're good at it and start looking for someone they can really connect with. Once you have that, you shouldn't throw it away or let it slip so easily. I'm not saying you should develop a scarcity mentality or anything like that, but when people aren't getting their needs met, they start looking elsewhere.

The main thing about cultivating a habit is consistency. You will basically have to drag your ass into it on sheer willpower even though every fiber of your being is resisting it. Once you do it for about 6 to 8 weeks, it starts to become habit and gets much easier. Also you start to notice things you forgot you even liked, like that pumped feeling when you get a good arm workout and your biceps are really tight and seeing results in the mirror over time.

I'm afraid you confuse TRP with PickUp.

TRP is about self improvement, with women as a result of you bettering yourself. If you go to the gym for women then you really are no different that your average person who goes to the gym.

Before I knew about trp I joined both the gym and my uni's rugby team solely to get women.

I dumped my gf because I felt the same feelings you did.

Idk if I'm crazy, but I felt having a girl there all the time (she basically lived at my place) made me lazy.

I stopped lifting, felt okay being a pothead (yeah it's my choice but I don't feel like smoking weed anymore now that I don't get pussy as often lol) idk I let myself fall apart. Lost some of my game, I was getting a nice big ego/confidence boost from smashing rando girls that were cute, then I decided to just be complacent.

Dropping the girl was the hardest thing but it helped me ace the shit out of my last assignments and exams and get my ass back into the gym and start dieting again.

Do as you will, just don't cry when she leaves you, do as you say you will and get back on the horse.

But hey man, if you can just nut the fuck up and get back on the horse while you are with her, then that will be a 100% better.

Do it. I bet you if you started lifting, you would want to fuck more and your gf would want to fuck you more. I know you say 3 times a week is enough, but that sounds like nothing. When I was with my girl, 3 times a day was barely enough. And that was for almost 5 months straight.

Yeah I won't lie. I feel shitty everyday for dumping my girl. I question if it was the right thing or not.

The only thing I can say is I aced all my assignments and started lifting and dieting when I broke up with her. I can't say I don't feel life is far more absurd than before, but there was times I wasn't sure if I wanted to live the rest of my life with her.

Why was I with her if I didn't see a future? Idk man nobody will be able to tell you the answer in life, I guess you just have to live with what you choose to do.

I am/was motivated by the same thing. What I wish is that I had let her break my heart. Instead of broke it through breaking hers and seeing the consequences of my own, honestly, heartless actions.

Any negative actions of hers I shut down with immediate full force dread. She pleased me in any way I wanted and even began buying me gifts. Just yesterday she told me she could be friends with me but nothing more.

It hurt, I felt and feel beta. I feel defeated even though I dumped her and caused her and myself pain. Yeah there were negatives, but looking back I seriously wonder how many of those were attributed to me being stoned the entire time. Like she put up with me in my worst self. Non lifting, lazy, pothead self.

Fear and anger can motivate and be very useful. I fear everyday I won't meet another girl like her for a while, or even if again, if I'm being honest with my lack of abundance.

At the same time I've fallen back into this "everything is absurd" depression. I know i've been here before, but this last relationship was the best I've ever had.

Try to motivate yourself to do better now, while you're with her. TRP discourages LTRs and marriage, but I feel like given the right frame, you can have good relationships with women. I feel like if I had gotten burned by her, I would be feeling so much better than I am now because I would have been like "ahhh AWALT, fuck that bitch" Now I just feel confused and frustrated at my own jadedness for not just living life a little bit.

I'm now back to my grind, which is fine, I will progress a lot more than maybe if I were with her, but at the end of the day it should be what makes you happy. If anything it would have been nice to have great sex in the evening and morning, and try to create enough self discipline to be happy in a relationship and not let that make me complacent. If I ever want another relationship again, I will have to have that mentality and I wish I had taken the opportunity to develop that desire to achieve while I was feeling happy, vs being forced back into the self improvement phase by throwing away good experience in my life.

Well your response is convincing me to not break up with my gf. she's gone on a meditation retreat, so I will have 0 contact for 10 days, it's reminding me that life is better with her around.

It's funny because I read TRP comments like "yo bro she's gonna leave you, she's probably fucking some dude already, you're just her plate".

Then I go back to her and she's excited to see me and we're snuggling in bed or something.

TRP breeds paranoia, I just stay away from it now and use my own judgement.

You will find a girl again and probably look back and think "I'm glad I took some time to improve myself" but yea it would suck if you're actually going through it.
